The Department of Petrochemical Technology was established in the year 2021 by the Excel Group Institutions. The Department offers a 4-year B.Tech. Degree Programme in Petrochemical Technology, which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The department has well equipped and state-of-the-art laboratories with sophisticated equipments. Our faculty members are well-qualified and are in constant pursuit of learning recent developments in their respective fields, along with rich experience in academics and industry. Petrochemical technology graduates have plenty of job opportunities in manufacturing and service sector industries such as oil and gas reservoirs, specialty chemicals, rubber and plastics, nanotechnology, mining process, mineral based industries, paints, synthetic fibers, chemical engineering designs, nuclear energy .In addition, they enjoy increasing opportunities in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and environmental engineering. Our graduates are placed in reputed industries like Tamilnadu Petro Products Ltd., Southern petrochemicals Industries Ltd.,(SPIC), Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd, Biocon, Asian Paints, Nerolac Paints and Madras Fertilizers Ltd. Our alumni are pursuing higher studies in reputed institutes in India and abroad.
