The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Excel Engineering College (Autonomous) organized an
Industry Guest Lecture on “Engineering Innovation & Industrial Practices: Building Future-Ready Aeronautical
Engineers” on 08.08.2026 from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Hall. The programme was
delivered by Mr. P. N. Senthil Kumar, Vice President – Human Resource, ARC Groups, Coimbatore, who shared
valuable insights into current industrial practices, engineering innovation, industry expectations and the skills
required for successful engineering careers. The session focused on bridging the gap between academic
learning and industrial requirements, with emphasis on technical competency, communication, teamwork,
problem-solving, professional attitude, adaptability and continuous learning. Students gained awareness of
career opportunities, employability skills and the importance of developing industry-relevant competencies. An
interactive session provided students with an opportunity to clarify their queries related to industrial careers and
professional development. The programme was successfully conducted and served as a valuable platform for
enhancing students’ industrial awareness and preparing them to become future-ready Aeronautical Engineers.
