EXCEL ENGINEERING COLLEGE, in association with the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), organised the Student Chapter Inauguration and Seminar on “Professional Excellence through IEI: A Gateway to Professional Growth & Lifelong Learning” on 18.08.2026 at 10:00 AM at Pavaayamal Hall.

Er. S. Loganathan, FIE, Chairman, IEI SLC, addressed the participants and emphasised the importance of active participation in professional bodies and continuously updating technical and professional knowledge.

Dr. R. Sathish Kumar, Honorary Secretary, IEI Salem Local Centre, interacted with the students and highlighted the benefits of IEI Student Chapter activities, including seminars, technical programmes, professional interactions and career development opportunities.

The programme encouraged students to actively engage in IEI activities and make effective use of professional platforms for their academic, professional and career growth.

The programme was jointly organised by the Departments of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AIDS), Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML), Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Business Systems (CS&BS), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Information Technology (IT).
