The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Excel Engineering College – Autonomous, successfully organized Design-Innovation 2026, an internal innovation and prototype hackathon on 13 August 2026 at Paavayammal Hall.

Theme: “From Idea to Prototype – Engineering Solutions for Real-World Challenges”

The event provided an inspiring platform for students to transform their creative ideas into practical engineering solutions through innovation, design thinking, and prototype development.

The event was evaluated by six track-wise Faculty Jury Panels, with faculty members serving as resource persons and mentors throughout the programme.
