National Scholarships

i. Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship

  • This scholarship is only available to single girl children who are enrolled in a regular, full-time 1st-year Master’s degree course at any recognized university or postgraduate college.
  • The girl candidate must be the only child of her parents. Simply put, only girl students who have no brothers, or twin or fraternal daughters, are eligible for this scholarship. If a family has both a son and a daughter, the daughter will not be eligible.
  • Female students under the age of 30 at the time of admission to PG courses are eligible.

ii. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

The students belonging to religious minorities notified by the Government of India i.e., Muslims, Christians, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi and Jain communities who are pursuing Professional/Technical courses in the recognized Institutions.

Students must score at least 50% or equivalent grades in their previous final exam. Their parent’s or guardians’ annual income from all sources must also be less than Rs. 2 lakh.

iii. National Scholarship for Minorities

The Students must submit an original annual income certificate showing an income of less than Rs. 2 lakh for the current period. They can apply directly through the NSP portal and submit documents to the institution for verification.

iv. Scholarship scheme for Jammu & Kashmir

The students of Jammu & Kashmir having family income less than Rs.6.0 lakh per annum and have passed class from state are eligible to apply under the scheme. The students are required to apply online on the AICTE web portal http://www.aicte-jk-scholarship- gov.in/

v. Bihar Post Matric Scholarship

The Bihar Post Matric Scholarship is available to students from outside Bihar who are studying in a government-approved institution or a state or central accredited institution. The scholarship is available for students pursuing professional courses at the graduate or postgraduate level, professional programs leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree, and non-degree courses after matriculation.

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a permanent resident of Bihar
  • Be between 15 and 28 years old on the application date
  • Have passed matriculation (10th) from a government-recognized educational institution in Bihar
  • Be a native student of Bihar who passed the 10th, 12th, or +2 (10th for polytechnics) from a bordering state of Bihar, such as Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, or West Bengal
  • Be from the BC or EBC category
  • Have a family annual income that does not exceed ₹1.5 lakh
  • Not be employed or self-employed
  • Not already have a scholarship from any other institution

Students can apply for the scholarship on the website pmsonline.bih.nic.in. They should check their application status on the SMS, email, or PMS portal, and make any necessary changes if needed.

vi. AICTE – SWANATH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR STUDENTS

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY:

1) The candidate should be from any one of the following categories: (i) Orphan OR (ii) Either or both parents died due to Covid 19 OR (iii) Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)

AND

2) Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the financial year of the application. A valid income certificate issued by the State/UT Government is to be enclosed.

AND

3) The candidate should be currently studying in the AICTE-approved institutions and courses at Degree/ Diploma level in regular mode (in 1st /2nd / 3rd /4th year). Note: Students who are satisfying conditions at S. No. 1, 2 & 3 above are only eligible for this scholarship.

vii. Pragati Scholarship Scheme For Girls Student

Pragati is an MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing assistance for the Advancement of Girls pursuing Technical Education. Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skill and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. This is an attempt to give young women the opportunity to further their education and prepare for a successful future by “Empowering Women through Technical Education”

Salient Features of the Scheme

Total Number of Scholarship-4000 per Annum ( 2000 for Degree and 2000 for Diploma)

The candidate should be admitted to 1st year of the Degree/Diploma course in any of the AICTE-approved Institutions of the respective year through the Centralized Admission process of the State/Central Government.

The Scholarships for Degrees and Diplomas are transferable in the event of non-availability of eligible applicants in any of the Degree/Diploma level Programme.

Two Girls Child per family are eligible, whose family income is not more than 8 lakh per annum during the preceding financial year (in the case of a married girl, the income of parents/in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered).

The selection of candidates will be made on merit on the basis of a qualifying examination to peruse the respective Technical Degree/Diploma course from any of the AICTE-approved institutions.  Amount of scholarship: Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less and Rs.2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals charges each year. In case of Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, Students are eligible to get an amount of Rs. 30,000/- for the purchase of Books/Equipment/Software/ Laptop/Desktop/Vehicle/Fee paid towards competitive examination applications forms/exams.

Reservation-15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% for OBC candidate/applicant

viii. Saksham Scholarship Scheme For Specially Abled Student

Saksham is an MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing encouragement and support to specially-abled children to pursue Technical Education. This is an attempt to give every young student, who is otherwise specially-abled, the opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future.

Salient Features of the Scheme

Total Number of Scholarship-1000 per Annum ( 500 for Degree and 500 for Diploma)

The Scholarships for Degrees and Diplomas are transferable in the event of non-availability of eligible applicants in any of the Degree/Diploma level programmes.

Specially Abled Student, having disability of not less than 40% and a family income not more than 8 lakh per annum during the preceding financial year (in the case of married girl, the income of parents/in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered).

The selection of candidates will be made on merit on the basis of qualifying examinations to peruse the respective Technical Degree/Diploma course from any of the AICTE-approved institutions.

PMSS Minority Scholarship

Eligibility
A candidate should belong to the Minority Category with a minimum 50% mark in the Higher Secondary Exams. His/her Family Annual Income should not exceed 3.5 Lakh per annum.

PMS ADTW (SC/ ST/ SCA Scholarship)

Eligibility
The candidate should belong to SC/ SCA / ST Category. His/her Family Annual income should not exceed 2.5 Lakh per annum.

Eligibility

PUDHUMAI PEN – Scholarship

Eligibility
All female students who studied from Classes 6 to 12 in Government schools / Government Model Schools will be paid Rs.1,000/- per month directly into their bank account till the uninterrupted completion of their undergraduate degree, diploma and ITI courses. The students shall be eligible for this in addition to other scholarships.

TAMIL PUDHALVAN – Scholarship

All boy students who studied from Classes 6 to 12 in Government schools / Government Model Schools will be paid Rs.1,000/- per month directly into their bank account till the uninterrupted completion of their undergraduate degree, diploma and ITI courses. The students shall be eligible for this in addition to other scholarships.

TN UZHAVAN – Former Scholarship:

Eligibility
A son or daughter of a former parent’s maybe eligible to apply according to the regulations of Tamilnadu State Government.

Procedure to Apply:  
Applicants can visit and get application forms from the Nodal officer and submit the duly filled application with enclosures to Native Taluk Office.

Government school studied students 7.5% reservation

Eligibility
All government school and government aided school students from Classes 6 to 12 in Government schools / Government Model Schools will be provide tuition fees, Hostel and Transport from Tamilnadu Government.
