The Department of Technician X-Ray Technology successfully organized a Guest Lecture on “Radiological Equipment’s and Advanced Modalities” on 13th July 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at the Communication Hall.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants. The session was coordinated by Mr. R. Karunanidhi, who organized the programme effectively and ensured its smooth conduct. The Felicitation Address was delivered by Mr. M. Srikanth, Vice Principal, who emphasized the importance of staying updated with the latest advancements in radiological technology and encouraged students to enhance their practical knowledge.

The Motivational Address was delivered by Mr. A. Subramanian, Principal, who inspired the students to develop professional skills, maintain ethical practices, and continuously improve their knowledge to meet the demands of the healthcare industry. The resource person, Mr. Saran J, delivered an informative lecture on modern radiological equipment and advanced imaging modalities. He explained the principles, applications, and recent developments in diagnostic imaging, including the importance of advanced technologies in improving patient care and diagnostic accuracy. The session was highly interactive, and students actively participated by asking questions and clarifying their doubts.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The guest lecture provided valuable insights into current trends in radiological technology and enhanced the technical knowledge of both students and faculty members.

The AN – Technician X-Ray Technology Club conducted a club activity on “Medical Innovations in Imaging and Radiation Safety” from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in the Strength of Material Lab. The programme was coordinated by Mr. R. Karunanidhi.

Mr. M. Srikanth, Vice Principal*, delivered an inspiring motivational address, encouraging students to enhance their technical knowledge and professional skills. *Mr. A. Subramanian, Principal,* appreciated the initiative and motivated the students to actively participate in such academic activities.

The participants presented their ideas on recent innovations in medical imaging and the importance of radiation safety. The presentations were evaluated by the judges, *Mr. E. Sakthikumar* and *Mr. A. Karthikeyan,* who provided valuable feedback and guidance. The activity successfully enhanced students’ technical knowledge, presentation skills, and awareness of modern imaging technologies.

The Department of Technician X-Ray Technology, Excel Polytechnic College, organized a guest lecture on “Infection Control, Biomedical Waste Management & Career Opportunities for Diploma Students” on 19-02-2026.

The session provided students with valuable knowledge on infection prevention practices, safe handling and disposal of biomedical waste, and the importance of maintaining safety standards in healthcare institutions. Students also gained insights into various career opportunities available after completing their diploma.

The lecture was informative and interactive, enhancing students’ professional awareness, technical knowledge, and career readiness.

The Departments of Technician X-Ray Technology and Medical Laboratory Technology, Excel Polytechnic College, jointly organized a Guest Lecture Program on “Innovations in Medical Field” on 23 January 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Palaniyappar Hall.

The session was delivered by Ms. K. Rokini, M.E., Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Excel Engineering College. The resource person shared valuable insights into the latest innovations in medical technology, diagnostic imaging, biomedical equipment, and advancements in modern healthcare.

The program was coordinated by Ms. V. Bhuvaneshwari, B.E., Lecturer, and organized under the guidance of Mr. M. Ramachandran, M.E., HOD i/c, with the support of Mr. M. Srikanth, M.E., Vice Principal, and Prof. A. Subramanian, Principal.

The Department of Technician X-Ray Technology, Excel Polytechnic College, organized an industrial visit to Curie Best Service Cubes, Coimbatore, on 25-07-2026. A total of 24 III Year students accompanied by 4 faculty members participated in the visit.

The visit provided students with practical exposure to medical equipment servicing, diagnostic technologies, maintenance procedures, and quality standards followed in the healthcare industry. It enhanced their technical knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of real-world applications in the field of medical imaging and equipment management. The visit was informative and beneficial for the students’ professional development.
