Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony

EXCEL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, NAMAKKAL AND HYUNDAI MOTOR INDIA LIMITED (HMIL)

1. PARTIES TO THE AGREEMENT

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is entered into by and between:

Excel Polytechnic College, located at Palakkapalayam, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, hereinafter referred to as “the Polytechnic”; AND Hyundai Motor India Limited, with its registered office at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Irrungattukottai, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, hereinafter referred to as “HMIL”.

2. PURPOSE

The purpose of this MoU is to outline the continued collaboration between HMIL and Excel Polytechnic College in implementing the Hyundai Certification Course and other related technical training and educational activities aimed at bridging industry-academia gaps.

3. BACKGROUND

An agreement was initially entered into on 03.10.2016 and was valid until 02.10.2020, subsequently renewed for another term ending 01.10.2024. This MoU represents the renewal and continuation of the said agreement for a further period of four (4) years, commencing from 02.10.2024 to 01.10.2028, on the same terms and conditions.

4. AREAS OF COLLABORATION

  • Conduct of Hyundai Certification Courses for students.
  • Provision of technical support, training content, and guidance by HMIL.
  • Facilitation of faculty development programs and student internships.
  • Sharing of best practices, tools, and technology updates.

5. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) shall:

  • Provide certification content, technical modules, and guidance.
  • Offer periodic training sessions, assessments, and skill enhancement activities.
  • Support with updated tools/equipment as required (subject to internal policy).

Excel Polytechnic College shall:

  • Coordinate course implementation and student enrollment.
  • Provide required infrastructure and administrative support.
  • Maintain records, feedback, and performance reports.

6. DURATION AND TERMINATION

This MoU shall remain in effect from 02.10.2024 to 01.10.2028 unless earlier terminated by either party with 60 days’ prior written notice.

7. CONFIDENTIALITY

Both parties shall maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information shared and shall not disclose such information to any third party without written consent.

8. ACCEPTANCE AND SIGNATURES

This MoU reflects mutual understanding and willingness to collaborate and is not legally binding but is made in good faith.

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) BETWEEN EXCEL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE AND UNITED SOFT TECH

This Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter called as the( ‘MoU’) is entered into on this the …………21…day of Month2021……MARCH………….. by and between.

EXCEL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, the First Party represented herein by its Principal / Director / Head of Institution, EXCEL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, and UNITED SOFT TECH

The Second party, and represented herein by its  Managing Director Mr.A.S.Matheswaran, Managing Director

WHEREAS:

A) First Party is a Higher Educational Institution named: EXCEL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE,

B) First Party & Second Party believe that collaboration and co-operation between themselves will promote more effective use of each of their resources, and provide each of them with enhanced opportunities.

C) The Parties intent to cooperate and focus their efforts on cooperation within area of Skill BasedTraining, Education, Placement, Industrial Visit, Expert Lecture.

D) UNITED SOFT TECH,- the Second Party is engaged in << related fields>>.

NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL PROMISES SET FORTH IN THIS MOU, THE PARTIES HERETO AGREE AS FOLLOWS:

CLAUSE 1                                                            CO-OPERATION

Both Parties are united by common interests and objectives, and they shall establish co-operation.

First-party and second-party co-operation will facilitate the effective utilisation of the intellectual capabilities.

The parties shall co-operate with each other and shall as promptly as is reasonably practical, relevant agreement.

CLAUSE 2                                                            SCOPE OF THE MoU

2.1 Industrial Training & Visits: Industry and Institution interaction will provide an insight into the latest developments/requirements of the industries; the Second Party to permit the Faculty and Students of the First Party to visit its group companies and also be involved in Industrial Training Programs for the First Party. This will provide confidence & smooth transition for students’ work. Also, the Second party may register on the AICTE Internship Portal for the benefit of students.

2.2 Guest Lectures: The Second Party to extend the necessary support to deliver guest lecturers to the students of the First Party on the technology trends and in-house requirements.

2.3 Placement of trained students: The second party will actively engage to help the delivery of the training and placement of the students of the first party on the technology trends and in-house requirements.

2.4 There is no financial commitment on the part of the EXCEL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, the first party to take up any program mentioned in the MoU. If there is any financial consideration, it will be dealt with separately.

2.5 Both Parties to obtain all internal approvals, consents, permissions, and licenses of whatsoever nature required.

CLAUSE 3VALIDITY

3.1 This Agreement will be valid until it is expressly terminated by either Party on mutually agreed terms, during which period, the Second Part.

CLAUSE 4                                         RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PARTIES

5.1 It is expressly agreed that First Party and Second Party are acting under this MOU as independent contractors, and the relationship established under this MOU shall not be construed as a partnership.
