Industrial Visit to Prashan Medical Technologies, Coimbatore, on 25 July 2026
The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) organized an Industrial Visit to Prashan Medical Technologies, Coimbatore, on 25 July 2026. The visit provided students with practical exposure to advanced medical laboratory instruments, diagnostic technologies, quality control procedures, and laboratory safety practices.
Students observed equipment installation, calibration, and maintenance processes and interacted with technical experts to gain insights into current industry practices. The visit enhanced their technical knowledge and helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications in the healthcare sector.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology organized a guest lecture on “Role of Laboratory Investigations in Cardiovascular Diseases and Safe Blood Transfusion from Donor to Recipient.” The session was delivered by Mrs. C. PrincyNaveena, who provided valuable insights into cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic investigations, blood grouping, cross-matching, donor screening, and safe transfusion practices.
The lecture also highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, patient safety, prevention of transfusion-related complications, and recent advancements in biomedical technologies. Students actively participated in the interactive session and clarified their doubts regarding laboratory procedures and blood transfusion practices.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology is proud to announce that Ms. Rajasri and Ms. Parkavi of the 2023–2026 batch secured First Prize in the Paper Presentation Competition held at Shree Venkateshwara Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, Gobichettipalayam, on 30 January 2026.
The students demonstrated excellent presentation skills, technical knowledge, and confidence, earning the appreciation of the judges and participants. They were awarded a cash prize of ₹1,500 for their outstanding performance.
The Management, Principal, and Faculty Members congratulate the students on their remarkable achievement and wish them continued success in their academic and professional endeavors.

Association function for 2023-2026 batch students
The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology organized the Association Inauguration Function for the 2023–2026 batch students. The event was conducted to promote academic excellence, professional development, leadership skills, and active student participation in departmental activities.
The function began with a welcome address, followed by the inauguration of the association and the introduction of student office bearers. Faculty members emphasized the importance of laboratory ethics, technical competence, research awareness, and teamwork in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology.
The association activities planned for the academic year, including guest lectures, workshops, seminars, technical competitions, and awareness programs, were introduced to the students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and encouraged students to actively contribute to the growth of the department and profession.
