International Day Of Yoga / Yoga Program

Objective 

To promote physical fitness, mental well-being, stress management, and yogic discipline among students and staff in observance of the International Day of Yoga. 

Brief Introduction 

Excel Polytechnic College observed the International Day of Yoga through a mass practice session organized by the NSS unit. The programme encouraged students to adopt yoga as a daily lifestyle practice supporting academic focus and emotional balance. 

Detailed Report 

The yoga programme began with a brief orientation on the significance of International Day of Yoga and the benefits of regular practice. Under the guidance of instructors and faculty facilitators, students performed asanas, stretching routines, and breathing exercises in organized rows on mats. The hall ambience remained calm and disciplined, reflecting collective participation. Faculty members and NSS volunteers coordinated positioning, safety, and photographic documentation. The activity contributed to student wellness initiatives and aligned with institutional efforts to foster holistic development beyond academics. Feedback indicated improved interest among students to continue short daily yoga practices. The event was recorded as a major NSS wellness activity for the academic year 2026–27.

Student Participation Details 

More than 280 students actively participated in the yoga programme. The session enhanced physical flexibility, concentration, and awareness of wellness habits. Students followed instructor demonstrations and practiced poses with enthusiasm and discipline.
