Fire and Safety Awareness Programme

Fire and Safety Awareness Programme -30-06-2026 

The Fire and Safety Awareness Programme was successfully organized today at Excel Polytechnic College with the objective of creating awareness among students and staff on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safe evacuation procedures during emergencies. 

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof. A. Subramanian and Vice Principal M. Srikanth. The event was jointly organized with Excel College for Commerce and Science and Excel Public School, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of all three institutions.The programme was coordinated by Mr. S. Sathish Kumar, HoD, Department of EEE and Event Coordinator, along with Mr. T. Satheeswaran, NSS Programme Officer. Heads of various departments and faculty members actively supported and participated in the event. 

The technical session and live demonstration were conducted by the Fire and Safety team comprising:

Mr. V. Senthil,Mr. M. Kousik Krishnan,Mr. S. Ganapathi,Mr. M.A. Kavin,Mr. P. Bharathiraja 

The resource persons explained the causes of fire accidents, methods of fire prevention, emergency evacuation procedures, first-aid during fire emergencies, and the proper operation of different types of fire extinguishers. A live demonstration provided practical knowledge on handling fire emergencies safely and effectively. 

Students and faculty members from Excel Polytechnic College, Excel College for Commerce and Science, and Excel Public School actively participated in the programme and gained valuable insights into fire safety and disaster preparedness.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, Principal, Vice Principal, resource persons, coordinators, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students for their wholehearted cooperation and active participation, making the programme a grand success.
