Entrepreneurship Development Cell – A Pathway to Innovation and Empowerment

A Dynamic spirit of innovation and enterprise filled the air on 1st July 2025 as the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Excel College for Commerce and Science, Komarapalayam organized an inspiring event under the theme “Smart Wash & Detergent and Website Designing & Digital Marketing.” The program was held at Velappar Hall (A/C) and witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of over 300 students, eager to explore entrepreneurial pathways. The session commenced with the Rotary Prayer and the Four-Way Test, setting a tone of purpose and ethical Aspiration.Mr. P. Varunkumar, HOD – Department of Business Administration and EDC Coordinator, delivered a heartfelt Welcome Address, laying the foundation for an insightful and empowering event.The occasion was presided over by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal of Excel College for Commerce and Science, who in his Presidential Address, emphasized the importance of powering future skills in entrepreneurial growth and encouraged students to embrace innovation.

Dr. T. Shankar, Chief – IQAC, delivered the Inaugural Speech, highlighting the critical role of smart techniques and ideas in shaping successful entrepreneurs in the modern era.

The event was further enriched by Felicitation Addresses delivered by the esteemed Programme Heads:

• Dr. K. Manjula, School of Arts
• Dr. K. Munusamy, I/C – School of Computer Science

These addresses celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit and encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. Ms. D.C. Sneha Rose, Assistant Professor of English, introduced the Chief Guest with elegance and appreciation. The event was graced by the presence of Rtn. R. Ravichandran, Regional Admin Chair – Erode & Ooty (Rotary Club), who delivered an inspiring speech on women empowerment. He encouraged students to dream big, learn from failures, and stay committed to their goals — echoing the belief that “The future belongs to those who dare to believe in their ideas.”

The highlight of the event was the address by Rtn. MD. K. Lakshmi Devi, CEO – O2 Smart Wash & Detergents, who was honored for her remarkable entrepreneurial journey. She spoke passionately about her commitment to empowering youth, sustainability, and eco-conscious innovation, stating:

Gowri, Founder – Creative (Website Designing & Digital Marketing), delivered an engaging and informative session on modern digital solutions and the importance of smart, eco-friendly cleaning innovations like Smart Wash. Her session resonated strongly with the student audience, who were eager to absorb real-world insights.

The event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving students empowered and motivated to forge their own entrepreneurial paths.
