NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework)

About NIRF

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, launched in 2015 to rank higher education institutions across the country. It provides rankings based on objective criteria to promote transparency, accountability, and quality improvement in higher education.

Key Parameters of NIRF Ranking:

NIRF ranks institutions based on the following five broad parameters:
1. Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR) – Faculty, student strength, resources, and learning infrastructure.
2. Research and Professional Practice (RP) – Research publications, patents, and industry collaboration.
3. Graduation Outcomes (GO) – Placement records, higher studies, and students’ success rate.
4. Outreach & Inclusivity (OI) – Diversity, social responsibility, and inclusiveness.
5. Perception (PR) – Reputation among peers, employers, and academics.
