The Department of Microbiology, in association with the Excel Micro gala Association and Microbiologist Society India successfully organized a three-day workshop on Advanced Molecular Techniques at Excel College for Commerce and Science, Komarapalayam, from February 24 to 26, 2025. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. D. Ramya Head, Department of Microbiology. The Presidential Address was given by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant Principal  Excel College for Commerce and Science. Dr. T. Shankar, Chief IQAC, delivered his Visionary address. The Felicitation Address was delivered by Dr. K. Manjula, Programme Head, School of Arts and Science. The workshop provided hands-on training in cutting-edge molecular techniques, enhancing students’ practical knowledge and research skills. The workshop was conducted by Mrs. Refana Shahul and Mr. Mohammed Suhail, Directors at Mycoblooms & Group, Coimbatore, an ISO & DPIIT-certified laboratory funded by BIRAC, Government of India. They provided valuable insights into microbiological innovation. The workshop was a resounding success, equipping students with practical molecular biology techniques while fostering research enthusiasm and entrepreneurial skills. The initiative aligned with the institution’s mission to promote innovation, hands-on learning, and career-oriented microbiological expertise, significantly benefiting students’ academic and professional growth. This workshop was coordinated by Ms. M. Ramla Asmi Assistant Professor of   Microbiology.
