The Educational Visit to Erode Book Festival – 2026

The Department of English and the Department of Tamil* of *Excel College for Commerce and Science* organized an educational visit to the Erode Book Festival – 2026 on 05 August 2026. The visit was arranged to encourage reading habits, expose students to a wide range of books, and promote literary and academic interests.

A total of 52 students from the Departments of English and Tamil participated in the visit, accompanied by five faculty members.

The group visited various stalls featuring books on literature, language, history, science, competitive examinations, personality development, children’s literature, and general knowledge.

The students actively explored different book collections, interacted with publishers and booksellers, and purchased books related to their academic disciplines and personal interests. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to discover new authors, improve reading habits, and gain exposure to the latest publications.

The faculty members guided the students in selecting valuable reference books and motivated them to cultivate the habit of regular reading. The visit also enhanced the students’ awareness of the importance of books in academic learning and lifelong education.

Overall, the educational visit to the Erode Book Festival – 2026 was highly informative, inspiring, and beneficial. It successfully promoted a culture of reading and learning among the students and strengthened their interest in literature and knowledge acquisition.
