“Smart Wash & Detergent and Website Designing & Digital Marketing” – A Spark of Innovation

The spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship filled the atmosphere on 1st July 2025 at 02:00 PM as Excel College for Commerce and Science, Komarapalayam hosted a vibrant and insightful session organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell at the Velappar Hall (A/C). This inspirational gathering brought together students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and dignitaries to encourage future leaders and ignite young minds with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial zeal.

The session commenced with the Rotary Prayer and the Four-Way Test, symbolizing values of truth, fairness, goodwill, and mutual benefit. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Mr. P. Varunkumar, HOD – Department of Business Administration and EDC Coordinator, who emphasized the need for youth to embrace entrepreneurship in a fast-evolving business landscape.

The event was gracefully presided over by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal of Excel College for Commerce and Science. In his Presidential Address, he underlined the importance of future-ready skills and the role of academic institutions in nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among students.

A thought-provoking Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. T. Shankar, Chief – IQAC, who highlighted the significance of smart business ideas and innovative thinking as powerful tools for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The Felicitation Segment featured insightful remarks by the Programme Heads:

Each acknowledged the entrepreneurial energy among students and encouraged them to translate ideas into impactful ventures.

Ms. D.C. Sneha Rose, Assistant Professor of English, elegantly introduced the distinguished Chief Guest, setting the tone for an inspiring session.

A highlight of the event was the presence of Rtn. MD. K. Lakshmi Devi, CEO – O2 Smart Wash & Detergents, who shared her entrepreneurial journey. She emphasized that Smart Wash is more than just a product — it is a movement toward sustainability and clean living. Her message encouraged students to pursue business with purpose, creativity, and confidence. Adding to the insight, Rtn. S. Gowri, Founder – Creative (Website Designing & Digital Marketing), delivered a compelling talk on digital strategies, innovative branding, and modern marketing methods. Her session ignited student curiosity and motivation to explore tech-driven entrepreneurship. Their presence added grace and encouragement to the occasion. The event was a celebration of youth energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and practical exposure, as over 300 students actively participated and benefitted from the enlightening sessions.

The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. M. Shankar, Assistant Professor – BBA, who expressed deep gratitude to the guests, speakers, faculty, and students for their support and enthusiastic participation. the rendition of the National Anthem, leaving attendees energized and hopeful for a future led by innovation, passion, and purposeful entrepreneurship.
