One Week Induction Programme 2025-26 School Of Commere & School Of Arts And Science
One Week Induction Programme 2025–26 was inaugurated on 7th July 2025 at Velappar Hall A/C, marking a significant beginning for the new academic batch at Excel College for Commerce and Science.TheeventwascollaborativelyorganizedbySchoolofCommerceandSchoolofArts and Sciences, with the primary objective of welcoming first-year students and familiarising them with college life, values, and expectations.
The programme began with the rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhthu, which fostered cultural reverence and solemnity. This was followed by a warm Welcome Address delivered by Dr. V. Raman, Head, Department of Visual Communication, who set the tone for the day.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science. He emphasised the institution’s commitment to academic discipline, personal integrity, and holistic student development, and inspired the young minds to strive for excellence.
The gathering was further enriched by felicitation speech from Dr. P. Gowthaman, Head, Department of B.Com CA, and Mrs.K. Indhumathi, Head, Department of CLT and Biochemistry. Their heartfelt words welcomed the students and encouraged them to make the most of their academic journey.
A key highlight of the event was the motivational session titled ‘Campus–Compass – Explore, Engage, Excel’, which was delivered by Dr. T. Shankar, IQAC Chief. His engaging and practical insights inspired the students to become proactive, goal-oriented individuals who were ready to embrace the transition.
Thiswasfollowedbyathought-provokingaddressontheCodeofConduct byDr.S.Subramaniam, Programme Head, School of Commerce. He emphasised discipline, ethics, the cornerstones of a meaningful college experience.
Dr. K. Manjula, Programme Head, School of Arts and Science, delivered a session on Academic Excellence and motivated students to aim high, stay consistent, and commit to lifelong learning.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. P. Boopathi Maharaja, who expressed sincere appreciation to all dignitaries, faculty, and students. The session ended on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem.
