Excel College for Commerce and Science, Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Technology took a significant step towards fostering a research-oriented culture among its students with the Inauguration of the Journal Club on August 5, 2024 at A10 block. The ceremony was successfully hosted by Ms .J. Mohanapriya, an III B.Sc CLT student, who set the tone for an enriching session. The event began with a warm welcome address by Mrs.K.Indumathi, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Technology, who energized the gathering with her positive spirit. Dr.T.Shankar, Chief IQAC, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his inspiring address, Dr.T.Shankar emphasized the pivotal role of innovation and research in shaping the future. He provided valuable insights on effective research methodologies and the importance of staying updated with the latest scholarly publications through journals.

Dr.K.Manjula,Program Head, School of Arts and Science, joined as another distinguished guest. She underscored the significance of cultivating a reading habit and exploring diverse perspectives through journals.

Mrs.M.Kanimozhi,AP/Department of Biochemistry was appointed as the club coordinator. The Journal Club aims to create a platform for students to delve into academic literature, discuss research findings, and develop a passion for scientific inquiry. The event was meticulously organized by Mr.A.Hariprasath, AP/English.

Ms. Swarnalakshmi, an II B.Sc CLT student, expressed gratitude to all attendees and speakers in a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking the successful culmination of the inaugural session.
