Excel College for Commerce and Science, Alumni Meet 2025 – A Reunion to Remember
The spirit of connection and nostalgia filled the air on 31st May 2025 at 1:31 PM as Excel College for Commerce and Science hosted the vibrant and heartfelt Alumni Meet 2025 at the Excel Mini Auditorium (A/C). This special gathering brought together past and present members of the Excel family to celebrate memories, milestones, and mutual pride.
The event commenced with the reverent rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhthu and the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a warm Welcome Address delivered by Dr. T. Shankar, Chief – IQAC, who emphasized the strength of alumni bonds. The occasion was gracefully presided over by
Dr.R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science, who delivered the Presidential Address with warmth and inspiration, underscoring the lifelong ties that united Excelians across generations.
A poignant presentation titled “A Glimpse of Excel College for Commerce and Science (2018–2025) was presented by Mr. B. Arulraj, Assistant Professor, English & Exam cell Coordinator, which showcased the journey of growth, transformation, and excellence.
The “Voices of Vision” segment featured our Programme Heads — Dr. S. Subramaniam (School of Commerce), Dr. K. Manjula (School of Arts & Science), and Dr. K. Munusamy ( School of Computer Science i/c ) — who highlighted the evolution of their respective programs and celebrated the accomplishments of their alumni.
A true highlight of the event was the heartfelt Alumni Talk, where former students from all departments stepped forward to share their journeys. Emotional segments like Reminisce and Memorial stirred deep feelings as alumni recalled college days, cherished friendships, and the mentors who shaped their lives. These reflections resonated deeply, reminding everyone that while time may have passed, the memories remained eternal.
The event concluded with a department-wise group session — capturing smiles and camaraderie — followed by a gracious Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. M. Gomathi, Head of DS & CYS.
