Eco Club Sappling Plantation Intiatives On Special Occasion
The Eco Club of Excel College for Commerce and Science continues its mission of fostering environmental awareness and responsibility among students and faculty. In line with this vision, the club launched the Sapling Plantation Drive, encouraging every member of the institution to plant a sapling on personal occasions like birthday, anniversary, or other milestones promoting green consciousness and personal commitment to nature. Setting a remarkable example, Mr. A. Hariprasath, Assistant Professor, Department of English, planted saplings on his birthday, turning his celebration into a meaningful act of environmental care. His gesture inspired others to link personal milestones with green initiatives.
The event, held under the leadership of Dr. R. Vimal Nisanth, Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science and graced by the presence of Dr. T. Shankar, Chief IQAC, Dr. K. Manjula, Programme Head, School of Arts and Science and Dr. K. Christie Jenifer, Head, Department of TFD & CDF. Their support added significance, reflecting the college’s collective commitment to environmental conservation. By motivating individuals to plant saplings on special occasions, Excel College takes a positive step toward cultivating a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
