Career Guidance Programme

On October 15, 2024, Excel College for Commerce and Science hosted a Career Guidance Programme titled “Weaving Your Future: A Career Blueprint for Fashion Design Students” at Velappar Hall.

The event commenced at 10:00 AM with a prayer song and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Dr. K. Christie Jennifer, Head of the TFD and CDF Departments, delivered the Welcome Address, warmly welcoming dignitaries, faculty, and students.

This was followed by a Presidential Address from Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal of the college, who highlighted the importance of career planning in the dynamic fashion industry.

Dr. K. Manjula and Dr. T. Shankar also offered their felicitations, praising the department’s initiative. Mrs. K. M. Abarna introduced the Chief Guest, Sri. K. S. Shankara Ragavan, Joint Director of the AMHSSC in Tirupur. He delivered an enlightening talk on various career paths in fashion design, emphasizing continuous learning and adaptability.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. G. Kumaresan, expressing gratitude to all attendees. The session ended on a high note with the National Anthem, leaving students inspired and informed about their future in fashion design.
