Excel College for Commerce and Science’s Department of Textile and Fashion Designing & Costume Design and Fashion marked a pivotal moment on February 21, 2024, by formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PRISMA GARMENTS, Tirupur. Orchestrated by Dr. K. Christie Jennifer, Head of the Department, the event aimed to enrich the academic experience of TFD & CDF students by providing them with practical insights and invaluable industry exposure. The MoU encompasses various facets such as hands-on knowledge about garment production, promising placement opportunities within PRISMA GARMENTS, industrial visits to gain real-world insights, internship training programs, and avenues for research collaborations. Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal of Excel College for Commerce and Science, extended a warm welcome to Mr. S. Kannan, General Manager of PRISMA GARMENTS, Tirupur, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Dr. Vimal Nishant encouraged students to seize the maximum benefits from this collaboration, underscoring its potential to nurture their professional growth and pave the way for successful careers in the textile and fashion industry.
