The department was established in the year 2018, and presently has around 200 students. It aims at producing graduates who are alongside each other of the development in their professional calling. Faculties of the department regularly publish papers in International / National Journals, and also publish books. They also deliver lectures and act as Chairpersons in various conferences and workshops. The Department has sophisticated well-equipped laboratories with internet facility and latest software updates. It is a nodal department for all the computing facility in the campus.
