Excel College for Commerce and Science celebrated **International Youth Day** on August 12, 2026, at 12.45 p.m. at the Excel Fusion Café. The programme was organized by the **Departments of Business Administration and Social Work** to highlight the role, potential, and responsibilities of youth in nation-building.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by **Mr. P. Varunkumar, Head, Department of Business Administration & Social Work**. **Dr. S. Subramaniam, Programme Head, School of Commerce**, delivered the Presidential Address and motivated students to develop leadership, confidence, talents, and a positive attitude.

**Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science**, delivered the Chief Guest Address and encouraged students to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.

A vibrant **Welcome Dance** presented by students of Business Administration and Social Work added energy and enthusiasm to the celebration.

A **Youth Day Quiz Competition** was conducted for Arts students, with **32 teams** participating enthusiastically. **D. Suba Sri and D. Shakthi Priya** of the Department of Computer Applications secured the **Winner** position, while **A. Dharshini and V. Boomika** of the Department of Bachelor of Commerce were the **Runners-up**. The Principal presented gifts and certificates to the achievers.

A special **Youth Day Feedback Board** enabled students and faculty members to share their thoughts and memorable experiences. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by **Ms. I. Aksha** and **Ms. A. Shanthiya Swanly**. The event successfully fostered youth participation, leadership, creativity, and social responsibility.
