Excel College for Commerce and Science, Komarapalayam, witnessed the Association Inauguration Ceremony and Freshers Day Celebration organized by the Department of Commerce IT, PA and A&F on 14th August 2026 at the Velappar Hall.
The programme commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, marking an auspicious beginning to the event. The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms.L. Keerthana, III B.Com AF, who extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty members and students.
The Felicitation Address was delivered by Dr. S. Subramaniam, Programme Head, School of Commerce, who encouraged the students to actively participate in the association and develop their leadership and professional skills.
The Guest Introduction was delivered by Ms.C.Keerthana, II B.Com PA, who introduced the Chief Guest and highlighted his professional achievements.
The Chief Guest, Dr. G. Palaniappan, PG Assistant in Commerce, Government Higher Secondary School,Vellitrippur, Erode (Dt),delivered an inspiring address and shared valuable guidance and motivation with the students. The Guest of Honour, Dr. S.Subramaniam,Programme head,School of Commerce., also addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to enhance their skills and leadership qualities.
The Association Inauguration was formally conducted with the official launch of the Department Logo, symbolizing the identity and vision of the Department of Commerce IT, PA and A&F.
Following this, Dr.P. Boopathimaharaja, Head of the Department, introduced the newly appointed Office Bearers of the Department Association. The Oath Taking Ceremony was then conducted by Dr. S. Subramaniam, Programme Head, School of Commerce. The office bearers took the oath and pledged to fulfil their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication, discipline and commitment.
The programme continued with honours presented to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour as a token of respect and gratitude.
The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms.P. Pooja, II B.Com AF, expressing sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, senior students and freshers for their valuable support and participation.
The combined Association Inauguration and Freshers Day Celebration was a memorable occasion for the Department of Commerce IT, PA and A&F, marking a new beginning of leadership, teamwork, friendship and active student participation.
