The Department of Textile and Fashion Designing & Costume Design and Fashion celebrated National Fashion Day on 9^th July 2025 with a vibrant Fashion Show held at Velappar Hall. The event, organized exclusively for students from other departments, showcased creativity and fashion innovation among students. The program began in the esteemed presence of Dr.R.Vimal Nishant Principal, Dr.T. Shankar Chief IQAC and Dr.K. Manjula Programme Head – School of Arts and Science, who inspired students with their presence and words of encouragement. Fashion students walked the ramp with confidence, displaying collections on themes like ethnic elegance, modern styling, sustainable fashion and creative fusion wear. The show highlighted their understanding of design, fabric selection, color theory and current trends. The enthusiastic audience, including faculty and students from various departments, appreciated the talent and efforts of the participants. The event successfully fostered a spirit of collaboration and artistic expression across disciplines. The entire program was well-coordinated by Dr. K. Christie Jennifer Head of the Department – TFD & CDF, along with her team. The celebration reinforced fashion as not just a creative pursuit, but a strong medium of cultural identity and self-expression.
