On October 16, 2024, Excel College for Commerce and Science hosted a Research Methodology Workshop titled “Crafting Research for Fashion: Visualising Methodology with Adobe Illustrator.” Organized by the Department of Textile and Fashion Designing (TFD) and Costume Design and Fashion (CDF), the event commenced with a prayer song and lamp lighting. Dr. K. Christie Jennifer, Head of the Department, emphasized the integration of research with visual tools like Adobe Illustrator in her Welcome Address. Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, stressed the importance of mastering research methodology and technical skills. The program included felicitations from Dr. K. Manjula, Program Head, School of Arts and Science, and Dr. T. Shankar, Chief IQAC. Mrs. S.N. Priyadharshini introduced the Chief Guest, Ms. M. Naveenaa, a Fashion Instructor from Dreamzone, Erode. She delivered an engaging session on visualizing research methodology, demonstrating practical techniques through hands-on activities. The workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. S. Gopikrishna, Assistant Professor – TFD, and ended with the National Anthem. Overall, the event successfully blended theory with practical application, equipping students with valuable skills to enhance their research and design capabilities in fashion.
