Excel College for Commerce and Science, Department of Textile and fashion designing & costume design and fashion participated in handloom fashion show Finals, organised by Kovai Makkal sevai maiyam and Dreamzone on 21.08.2024 at K.S.R College of Arts and Science, Tiruchengode.

The event was presided over by Smt. Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA, Coimbatore South, and Dr. C. Saraswathy, MLA, Modakurichi, Erode. The event was further graced by the presence of the renowned actress Mrs. Kushbu Sundar as the chief guest.

A total of 27 colleges participated in the event. Out of these, Our students M. Thowfic from III B.Sc Costume Design and Fashion crowned the Title winner “Mr.Handloom Maharaja,” receiving a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 7500/-   and J. Dhatshana from III B.Sc Clinical Lab Technology earned the title “Miss Informative” and was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1000/-. A Guest fashion show was organised by dreamzone and our student E.Sanchay from II B.B.A participated in it. In addition to these individual accolades,

Excel College for Commerce and Science also won Awards for securing the 2nd prize for maximum participants and the 3rd prize for maximum audience. In recognition of these achievements, Dr. N. Madhan Karthick, Vice Chairman and Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, extended their heartfelt appreciation to the faculty members and students for bringing pride and honour to the institution.
