World Malaria Day awareness – Campus cleaning by NSS – 25.04.2025

On observance of World Albinism Day, our Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre, conducted a seminar to provide deep insight about Albinism and its challenges.

The day is observed annually to raise awareness about the challenges and human rights issues faced by people with albinism. The theme for 2025 is “Demanding our rights: Protecting our skin, Preserving our lives”.

Under the guidance of our respected Principal Prof.Dr.M.Maignanamoorthy,M.D(s)., the seminar was conducted on 13.06.2025.

Dr.A.Rajarajeswari,MD(S). Professor,Department of Aruvai Maruthuvam presented a seminar on the topic of “Albinism – Demanding our rights: Protecting our skin, Preserving our lives . Faculty members and Final BSMS Students participated in this seminar.

Participants:

  2. Dr.D.Dyneswar, MD (s), NSS coordinator & Associate professor,
  3. Dr.G.Manigandan, MD (s), Associate Professor,
  4. Dr.K.Pavithra, MD (S), Assistant Professor,
  5. First professional 2024-2025 batch students—58 members.

Activities Undertaken:

  1. Removed standing water from plant pots, bird baths, and other containers.
  2. Cleared debris and clutter from the garden.
  3. Trimmed vegetation to reduce mosquito hiding spots.
