SC/ST Post Matric Scholarship (PMS)

SC ST Post Matric Scholarship – 2021 is available to all those students who belong to any of the Scheduled Castes and are not able to finance their education due to their financial conditions. In this scheme, all the students within the scheduled castes will get financial assistance. Every student will thus have their basic rights to education. Under this scheme, SC students pursuing education beyond Class 12 will be considered. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will fund this SC Scholarship.

BC/MBC Scholarship

The scholarship is open to students belonging to BC/MBC/DNC categories who are pursuing a 3-year Degree or Polytechnic Diploma course or Professional Degree course. The annual income of the family should not be more than INR 50,000/-

Minority Scholarship (NSP)

This scheme is to award scholarship to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority religious communities so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, thus increase their possibility of attaining higher education and enhancing their employability.
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 Lakhs.

First Graduate Scholarship

The First Graduate Certificate is eligible only when there are no graduates in the family, including siblings who were not benefited by the first graduate scholarship or fee concession. The Tahsildar under the Tamil Nadu Government grants the First Graduate Certificate. This education scheme is applicable to SC/ST,BC,MBC & DNC students studying in the 3-year Arts/Science Degree Courses, 3-year Polytechnic Diploma Courses, Professional Degree courses (Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Law, Indian Medicine, etc.) at the Undergraduate level only.

7.5% Quota Scholarship

7.5% quota scholarship Tamil Nadu to pay full education cost of govt students. The Tamil Nadu government would bear the entire education cost — tuition fees, hostel fees and counselling fees — of all government school students joining professional courses under the 7.5% quota.

Pudhumai Penn Scheme

Pudhumai Penn Scheme The Government of Tamil Nadu has launched Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme to enhance the enrolment ratio of girls from Government schools to Higher Education Institutions. Through this scheme, the financial assistance of Rs. 1000/month will be provided to the girls till their completion of UG degree/Diploma/ITI/any other recognized course. The incentive amount under this scheme will be disbursed directly into the student’s Bank Account.
