CME programme on “First Aid in Emergency Medicine

The CME programme on “First Aid in Emergency Medicine” was successfully conducted on 10th February 2026 at the Ayush Auditorium, Medical Campus, organized by Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre in association with Excel Nursing College.

The programme was formally inaugurated by the Principal Dr. M. Maignanamoorthy MD (s), who highlighted the importance of timely first aid and life-saving skills in emergency care.

The CME focused on hands-on training in CPR and Basic Life Support, management of chest pain, hypoglycemia, fractures, choking, shock, seizures, IV fluids, and basic first aid principles. The sessions were handled by experienced nursing faculty and included demonstrations, interactive discussions, and practical exposure.

The programme concluded with a post-test and feedback session, and participants appreciated the practical orientation and clinical relevance of the training.
