CME program – “Hands-on Training Program on Thokkanam for Spine & Shoulder Joints”

A Continuing Medical Education (CME) program titled “Hands-on Training Program on Thokkanam for Spine & Shoulder Joints” was successfully conducted on 11th February 2026 at the Ayush Auditorium, Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre, Komarapalayam.

The session was led by Dr. A. Swaminathan, M.D (Siddha), AMO, Government Hospital, Uthamapalayam, who provided expert guidance and live demonstrations on therapeutic Thokkanam techniques for managing spine and shoulder joint disorders. The program emphasized practical skill development through real-time demonstrations, interactive learning, and hands-on participation. Faculty members, students and interns actively engaged in the session, enhancing their clinical proficiency in musculoskeletal management through Siddha therapeutic approaches.
