Siddha Medicine Decoction Distribution at Front Gate OPD – From 27th July 2025

Starting 27th July 2025, Our Excel Siddha Medical College & Research Centre began distributing Siddha medicinal decoctions at the Front Gate OPD to support patients with respiratory illnesses and diabetes. The decoctions distributed were Aadathodai Kudineer for respiratory ailments and Aavarai Kudineer for diabetes management.

The program was inaugurated by our respected Principal, Prof.Dr.M.Maignanamoorthy,M.D(S), alongside Dr. T. Saravanan, Principal of Excel Homoeopathy Medical College, and Dr. K. Ayyappan, Principal of Excel Physiotherapy College & Research Centre.

Through this initiative, approximately 100 beneficiaries have received Siddha treatment support, promoting traditional healthcare and wellness within the community.

Blood Donation Camp Organized at Excel Medical Campus – 19th July 2025

A Blood Donation Camp was successfully conducted on 19th July 2025 at the Excel Medical Campus Library, Komarapalayam, Namakkal. The event was a joint initiative by Excel Medical Campus, Ladies Circle India – ELC 78, and the NSS Unit of Excel Siddha Medical College & Research Centre.

The camp aimed to promote the spirit of service and encourage voluntary blood donation among students and staff. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who came forward in large numbers to donate blood and contribute to this noble cause.

The collaborative effort of the organizing teams ensured the smooth execution of the camp, maintaining all medical and safety protocols. The collected blood will go a long way in saving lives and supporting patients in need.

This successful event reflects the commitment of Excel Medical Campus and its partners to community welfare and healthcare support through such humanitarian efforts.

On the occasion of National Doctors Day (01.07.2025), celebrated annually on 1st July to honor the invaluable contributions of doctors in India, our Excel Siddha Medical College & Research Centre, in collaboration with KSR Dental College, Tiruchengode, jointly organized a Dental Screening Camp on 02.07.2025 at our campus.

This health initiative aimed to provide effective oral health check-ups and raise awareness about dental hygiene among students and staff. The camp successfully benefited 182 students, offering timely dental assessments and guidance to promote better oral care.

The event reflected the spirit of National Doctors Day, commemorating the dedication and tireless efforts of doctors and healthcare professionals in safeguarding public health

As part of our college’s efforts to prevent mosquito breeding and reduce the risk of malaria, our college NSS unit conducted a garden cleaning exercise on the eve of World Malaria Day.

Participants:

Activities Undertaken:

1. Removed standing water from plant pots, bird baths, and other containers.
2. Cleared debris and clutter from the garden.
3. Trimmed vegetation to reduce mosquito hiding spots.

Pharmacovigilance awareness programme was conducted by Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre,Erode on 19.03.2025 at our Excel Siddha Medical College & Research Centre.

Dr. Venkatachalam, coordinator, PPVC, Erode and  Dr. Pratheep, JRF, PPVC, Erode participated as Resource persons in this Programme.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by Prof.Dr.M.Maignanamoorthy,MD(S), Principal, who emphasized the significance of pharmacovigilance in healthcare.

Dr. Venkatachalam delivered a comprehensive presentation on the fundamentals of pharmacovigilance, including adverse drug reaction reporting, signal detection, and risk management.

Dr. Pratheep shared his expertise on adverse drug reaction monitoring, highlighting the importance of timely reporting and effective communication.

The program featured interactive sessions, including a question-and-answer forum, where participants engaged with the resource persons and clarified their doubts.

Our Teaching Faculties, Medical Officers, Students are participated in this programme.

On account of 8th siddha day, The Directorate of Indian Medicine & our Excel Siddha Medical College & Research Centre conducted the  Free Siddha medical camp, held on 14.12.2024 at Government hospital, Namakkal

Over 134 patients benefited from free consultations and external therapy treatments given  by our team of doctors Dr. P.Sumathi, Associate Professor, Dr.D.S.Vaniswari , Assistant Professor & CRRIs.

And also we extend our heartfelt gratitude to  DSMO, Namakkal & Salem & Our Principal Prof Dr.M.Maignanamoorthy.

WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY – Our Excel Siddha Medical College & Research centre participated  in Blood Donation Camp on 20.06.2024.

In the presence of our College Principal Prof.Dr.M.Maignana Moorthy., M.D(S),. Our Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre along with Excel Nursing College and Elanthakuttai PHC organized this camp on 20.06.2024. Our students voluntarily participated by donating blood and thereby taking a step forward among the students to encourage blood donation.

Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre Celebrated National Deworming Day by organizing a Special Siddha Medical Camp at Komarapalayam Bus stand on 28.02.2024. Our team of doctors and students provided free consultation and treatment to the people who attended the camp. We are glad to see many patients benefit from our Siddha system of medicine and improve their health and well-being.

Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre is proud to announce our Special Siddha Medical Camp held at Excel Siddha Hospital Extension, located at the serene Kasivinayagar Temple Premises in Aanaikattipalayam, Rasipuram on 22nd February 2024.

Our dedicated team of doctors and passionate medical college students came together to provide essential healthcare services to the community. Through this camp, we were able to extend our healing touch to over 100 patients, making a meaningful impact on their well-being.

Special Medical Camp was conducted by Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre focused on Respiratory disorders -27.12.2023 to 29.12.2023 at Excel Siddha Medical College front OP.

Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre conducted a special Medical camp and provided treatment for Excel Group Institutions Staffs & Students focused on Poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) from 07.11.2023 to 10.11.2023, Many of the beneficiaries  got benefited through this camp.

EXCEL SIDDHA MEDICAL COLLEGE & RESEARCH CENTRE-Mega Siddha Medical Camp at Excel Siddha Hospital Extension Hospital,at Kasivinayagar Temple Premises, Aanaikattipalayam, Rasipuram on 05th August, 2023.Our College Principal Prof.Dr.M.Maignana Moorthy addressed the welcome speech of this programme.Medical camp was inaugurated by Thiru Kai.Kandhasamy, President, Arulmigu Kasi Vinayagar Iyarkai Nalavalvu maiyam. A Team of Doctors and our Medical college students were participated in this Camp.

More than 100 patients were benefitted by this camp.

On observance of World Hepatitis day 2023, our Excel Siddha Medical College and research centre conducted a special medical awareness camp on 04.08.2023 at  Komarapalayam Bus stand, This Medical camp was inaugurated by Komarapalayam Municipality Commissioner Thiru A.Saravanan. More than 250 patients were benefitted by this camp.

Excel Siddha Medical College and Research conducted a special Medical camp and provided treatment for Transport department staffs on 05.07.2023, Many of our transport department staffs got benefited through this camp.
