NSS (NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME) UNIT
The National Service Scheme is an Indian Government sponsored Public service program conducted by The Ministry of Youth Affairs and sports of The Government of India popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year 1969. It is aimed at developing students’ personality through community service. NSS is a voluntary association of young people in college and Universities.
Our NSS SF Unit was started on 01.09.2023. Our college unit consists of 100 members 50 from First professional and 50 from Second professional.
Motto:
The motto or watchword of the NSS is “Not me but you”. It underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society on the whole. This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need of selfless service and appreciation of the other man’s point of view and also consideration for fellow human beings.
Our Regular Activities:
• Our NSS unit has conducted various blood donation camps in our campus
• Free Medical camps including free medicines and consultation in nearby villages.
• Tree plantation program
• Rallies for various social awareness themes in association with other social organizations.
• Various disease awareness programs
• Participation in National Health Programs
• Social Services to the needy people.
