FRIENDSHIP DAY CELEBRATION 2026 – 01.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, celebrated Friendship Day on 01.08.2026 at the ECOP Seminar Hall with the objective of highlighting the importance of friendship, mutual respect, cooperation, trust, and positive relationships among students. The celebration provided an opportunity for students to strengthen their bonds and appreciate the values of understanding, empathy, mutual support, and teamwork. Various interactive activities, friendship-based games, student interactions, and engaging activities were organized to make the celebration joyful and memorable. A total of 100 students actively participated in the celebration, demonstrating great enthusiasm and involvement throughout the programme. The activities encouraged students to develop positive interpersonal relationships and foster a friendly, supportive, and inclusive campus environment. The celebration also provided students with an opportunity to interact beyond the classroom and strengthen their sense of belonging and community. Faculty members encouraged and supported the students during the programme. WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY CELEBRATION 2026 – 25.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, celebrated Women’s Equality Day on 25 August 2026 with enthusiasm and active participation. The programme was organized to promote equality, empowerment, opportunity, dignity, and respect among students. The celebration emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive and equitable society. The Presidential Address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Ms. D. Mythili, M.E., (Ph.D.), Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Excel Engineering College.

Her inspiring address highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and equal opportunities in education and society. A Video Presentation was organized to create awareness about the significance of Women’s Equality Day. Students actively participated in an English Speech highlighting the importance of gender equality. A PowerPoint Presentation further explored various aspects of women’s rights, empowerment, and equal opportunities. A Tamil Speech was also presented to communicate the message of equality and empowerment effectively. The activities encouraged students to reflect on the role of women in social, educational, professional, and national development. The programme emphasized that equality is essential for building a progressive and inclusive society. The celebration also highlighted the importance of eliminating discrimination and encouraging equal participation. A Women’s Equality Pledge was administered to reaffirm the participants’ commitment to equality and dignity.The programme created meaningful awareness about the importance of women’s rights, empowerment, and social equality. ONAM CELEBRATION 2026 – 21.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, celebrated Onam on 21.08.2026 with great enthusiasm and festive spirit, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and traditional values associated with the harvest festival of Kerala. The celebration aimed to promote unity, cultural diversity, harmony, and togetherness among

students and faculty members. The programme featured a variety of traditional and cultural activities, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, creativity, and appreciation for Indian traditions. The vibrant celebration reflected the spirit of King Mahabali’s values of equality, prosperity, happiness, and social harmony. Students actively participated in the festive activities, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere across the campus. The celebration also encouraged students to understand and respect the diverse cultural traditions of India while strengthening friendship and team spirit. FAREWELL DAY CELEBRATION FOR B.PHARM STUDENTS 2022 BATCH – 21.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, observed Sadbhavana Diwas on 20.08.2026 to promote the values of national unity, communal harmony, peace, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence among people from diverse backgrounds. The programme aimed to create awareness among Pharm.D students

and faculty members about the significance of Sadbhavana Diwas and the importance of strengthening the spirit of “Unity in Diversity.” Pharm.D students, under the guidance of faculty members, actively participated in the activity and conveyed meaningful messages emphasizing brotherhood, mutual understanding, tolerance, equality, peace, and social harmony. The activity encouraged students to appreciate cultural diversity and understand their role in promoting a harmonious and inclusive society. The programme also highlighted the importance of respecting differences and working together for the welfare and development of the nation. TWO-DAY TEACHING PEDAGOGY TRAINING WORKSHOP – 19.08.2026 & 20.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, actively participated in a Two-Day Training on Teaching Pedagogy held on 19th and 20th August 2026. The programme was organized by the Center for Pharmacy Education and Training (cPhET), PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore.The training was conducted in association with the IPA Coimbatore Local Branch and APTI Tamil Nadu Branch.The programme was hosted at PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore. Mr. M. Karthick, M.Pharm., Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, represented Excel College of Pharmacy. The workshop focused on strengthening contemporary teaching and pedagogical competencies among pharmacy faculty members. The sessions introduced participants to innovative and learner-centred approaches to teaching. Emphasis was placed on improving student engagement and active learning in the classroom. Participants gained insights into collaborative learning strategies and interactive teaching practices. The workshop also highlighted effective approaches to assessment and evaluation of student learning. A dedicated session explored the potential applications of Artificial Intelligence in education. Participants were introduced to game-based pedagogy as an innovative approach to enhance student participation. The programme also addressed the importance of academic leadership and continuous faculty development.The training contributed to strengthening faculty competencies and promoting quality enhancement in pharmacy education. The programme was a valuable professional development initiative that supported innovative teaching, continuous learning, and excellence in pharmacy education.

MEDICAL CAMP FOR KALINGARAYAN PASUMAI MARATHON 2026 – 16.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy organized a Medical Camp for the Kalingarayan Pasumai Marathon on 16.08.2026 at Pavish Park, Bhavani, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The camp was organized with the objective of providing essential healthcare support to marathon participants and the public associated with the event. The initiative focused on promoting health and safety during physical activities and conveyed the message “Ensuring Health, Empowering Runners, Building a Stronger Community” As part of the camp,

participants and the public were provided with general health check-ups, basic first-aid assistance, and monitoring of vital health parameters such as blood pressure and blood sugar. The medical team also provided guidance on heat-related health concerns, hydration, safe participation in strenuous physical activities, and healthy lifestyle practices. Emergency medical support was made available whenever required, ensuring the well-being and safety of the participants throughout the marathon. The programme served as a meaningful community outreach initiative by Excel College of Pharmacy, demonstrating its commitment to healthcare awareness, preventive care, and community well-being. The successful organization of the Medical Camp for the Kalingarayan Pasumai Marathon was made possible through the valuable support and encouragement of the esteemed leadership of Excel Group Institutions and Excel College of Pharmacy. Excel College of Pharmacy celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15.08.2026 with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The celebration was graced by Dr. A.K. Natesan, Chairman, Excel Group Institutions; Dr. N. Mathan Karthick, Vice Chairman; and Dr. R. Manivannan, Principal, Excel College of Pharmacy. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, symbolizing national pride and unity. This was followed by an energetic student parade showcasing discipline and team spirit. NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON INNOVATIVE BREAKTHROUGH IN PHARMA CARE 2026 – 13.08.2026 & 14.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, participated in the Fourth National Symposium on “Innovative Breakthrough in Pharmacare – Nurturing the Future Pharmacist (IBP-NP-2026)”, organized by Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy, Sankari, Salem, on 13.08.2026 and 14.08.2026. The symposium provided an enriching academic platform for students to gain exposure to recent developments, innovations, emerging technologies, and advancements in pharmaceutical sciences. As part of the symposium, a Poster Presentation Competition was conducted, in which Karthick. G. and Rajeshwari, II B.Pharm students of Excel College of Pharmacy, actively participated and demonstrated their scientific knowledge, creativity, and presentation skills. Karthick. G. secured the First Prize, while Rajeshwari secured the Second Prize in the Poster Presentation Competition, bringing pride and recognition to the institution. Their achievements reflected their enthusiasm towards research, innovation, scientific communication, and academic excellence. The students’ success was appreciated by the management, Principal, faculty members, and fellow students. QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT DAY PROGRAMME 2026 – 08.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy organized a Quit India Movement Day Programme on 08.08.2026 at the Excel Mini Auditorium (A/C) to commemorate the historic Quit India Movement launched on 08 August 1942. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about India’s freedom struggle and to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the freedom fighters who contributed to the nation’s independence. The programme featured an Awareness Talk on the Quit India Movement, through which students gained insights into the historical background, significance, and impact of the movement. Student

speeches highlighted the contributions of national leaders and freedom fighters while emphasizing the values of patriotism, unity, and national responsibility. A poster display was organized to creatively present important events, personalities, and messages associated with India’s freedom struggle. The Freedom Pledge encouraged students to reaffirm their commitment to unity, integrity, patriotism, and responsible citizenship. The programme also included a Patriotic Cultural Programme, providing students with an opportunity to express their respect and love for the nation through cultural performances. A total of 100 students participated in the programme, along with faculty members, making the event an engaging and meaningful learning experience. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE WORLD’S INDIGENOUS PEOPLES 2026 – 08.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, observed International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples on 08.08.2026 under the theme “Indigenous Peoples and AI: Defending Rights, Shaping Futures.” The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the rights, culture, traditions, heritage, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples and to emphasize the importance of preserving traditional knowledge and promoting cultural diversity, inclusion, equality, and sustainable development. A Guest Lecture Session

was delivered by Dr. K. Bhavadharaniparkavi, M.Sc., Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Medicinal Botany, Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre, who provided valuable insights into Indigenous knowledge, medicinal plants, traditional healthcare practices, biodiversity conservation, and the sustainable utilization of natural resources. The session highlighted the significance of documenting and preserving traditional knowledge systems for future generations. As part of the programme, faculty members and students visited the Gunapadam Laboratory at Excel Siddha Medical College and Research Centre from 11:30 AM onwards. The visit provided students with practical exposure to medicinal plants, traditional medicines, indigenous healthcare practices, and the preparation and identification of medicinal resources. The programme successfully connected classroom learning with practical exposure and enhanced students’ appreciation of Indigenous knowledge, traditional healthcare systems, biodiversity, cultural heritage, and responsible technological development. The programme aimed to strengthen the interaction between alumni, industry professionals, faculty members, and students and to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industrial applications. The programme commenced with the Presidential Address by Pr. Rtn. Prof. Dr. A.K. Natesan, Hon. Chairman, Excel Group Institutions, followed by the address of Dr. N. Mathankarthick, Vice

Chairman, Excel Group Institutions, and the Felicitation Address by Dr. R. Manivannan, Principal, Excel College of Pharmacy. The technical session featured Mr. M. Balaji, Drug Safety Associate – ICSR Processing, Accenture, Bengaluru, who delivered an insightful lecture on drug safety, pharmacovigilance, Individual Case Safety Report (ICSR) processing, and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. The second expert session was delivered by Mr. A. Soundhara Pandi, Executive Chemist, Production Department, OneSource Speciality Pharma Limited, who shared valuable practical insights into pharmaceutical production, industrial operations, quality practices, manufacturing processes, and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector. The interactive sessions enabled students to gain a better understanding of industry expectations, professional competencies, regulatory practices, workplace responsibilities, and career pathways. The programme also provided an effective platform for students to interact with experienced professionals and gain first-hand knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. The expert interaction enhanced students’ confidence, career awareness, professional outlook, and industry readiness. The programme successfully strengthened alumni engagement and industry–academia interaction, contributing to the holistic professional development of the students. NATIONAL HANDLOOM DAY CELEBRATION 2026 – 07.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy celebrated National Handloom Day on 07.08.2026 at the ECOP Seminar Hall, with the active participation of 50 students from II Pharm.D. The programme was organized to create awareness among students about India’s rich handloom heritage, traditional weaving practices, indigenous craftsmanship, and the importance of sustainable textiles. The event highlighted the cultural significance of handloom products and the valuable contribution of traditional weavers and artisans in preserving India’s

diverse textile traditions. To make the programme informative and engaging, students presented various speeches, a Tamil speech, a video presentation, and a PowerPoint presentation focusing on the history, cultural heritage, sustainability, and contemporary relevance of handloom textiles. The programme encouraged students to appreciate India’s traditional weaving techniques and understand the importance of supporting indigenous artisans and promoting sustainable textile practices. A total of 50 students participated in the programme, making the event an effective platform for promoting awareness and appreciation of India’s handloom heritage.

HIROSHIMA DAY PROGRAMME 2026 – 06.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, observed Hiroshima Day on 06.08.2026 to commemorate the innocent victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan, in 1945 and to create awareness among students about the devastating consequences of nuclear warfare. The programme was organized for II D.Pharm students with the objective of sensitizing them to the history of Hiroshima, the destructive effects of atomic weapons, radiation hazards, radiation-induced health effects, and the importance of global peace and peaceful coexistence. The programme featured student speeches, PowerPoint presentations, an informative animation video, meditation, a Hiroshima Peace Pledge, and one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the victims. As part of the celebration, II D.Pharm students prepared and displayed informative charts covering the history of Hiroshima, atomic bombing, radiation hazards, health effects, nuclear disarmament, and messages of peace. Students confidently explained their chart presentations to faculty members and fellow students, demonstrating their knowledge, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork. All II D.Pharm students actively participated in the Hiroshima Peace Pledge and meditation session, reaffirming their commitment to peace, humanity, compassion, and peaceful coexistence. The chart exhibition served as an effective visual learning activity and enhanced students’ awareness of the

humanitarian consequences of nuclear warfare. WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK AWARENESS PROGRAMME 2026 – 04.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, in association with the Government Hospital, Tiruchengode, organized a Breastfeeding Awareness Programme on 04.08.2026 as part of World Breastfeeding Week 2026. The programme focused on promoting awareness about exclusive breastfeeding, maternal health, infant nutrition, and sustainable support systems for breastfeeding mothers. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Mr. B.V. Gokul Bal, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, followed by expert sessions by Dr. Mageswari, Gynecologist, who highlighted the importance of antenatal and postnatal care, balanced nutrition, and family support, and Dr. G. Senthilkumar, Chief Medical Officer, who emphasized community participation and healthcare collaboration. IV Pharm.D students Ms. Nisha V. and Ms. Bhavatharani I. conducted counseling sessions for pregnant women and mothers on breastfeeding techniques, maternal nutrition, infant care, and common misconceptions. Pharmacy Practice students distributed informative awareness pamphlets to the beneficiaries. Gift hampers were also distributed to expectant mothers by the chief guests and college management. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. M. Aruna, Associate Professor, and Department of Pharmacology. The initiative reflected the institution’s commitment to community healthcare and promoted the World Breastfeeding Week 2026 theme, “Prioritise Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems,” encouraging collective efforts towards a healthier future for mothers and children.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION 2026 – 29.08.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, celebrated National Sports Day 2026 on 29th August 2026 at the Excel Seminar Hall. The programme was organized by the I Year B.Pharm – Second Semester students with enthusiasm and active participation. The celebration commemorated the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary Indian hockey player. The programme highlighted the importance of sports and physical fitness in students’ lives. A special video presentation on National Sports Day and Indian Sports was presented. The presentation showcased the history, evolution, achievements, and future prospects of Indian sports. Students gained awareness about the remarkable contributions of Indian sportspersons at national and international levels. An Essay Writing Competition was conducted on the theme “Sports and Education: Building a Balanced Personality.” The competition encouraged students to reflect on the relationship between academic learning and physical activity. Students expressed their views on how sports contribute to confidence, leadership, teamwork, and character development. The programme emphasized that sports play an important role in promoting a healthy body and a disciplined mind. The event also promoted awareness about the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle. The celebration provided students with opportunities to develop creativity, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. STUDENTS EMERGE CHAMPIONS AT STATE-LEVEL PARAMEDICAL SPORTS MEET FORZAHS 2026

Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its students at FORZAHS 2026, a State-Level Paramedical Sports Meet organized by Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation and School of Allied Health Sciences, Salem, from 04 to 06 August 2026. Students from various educational institutions actively participated in the sports meet and showcased their sporting talents and competitive spirit. The students of Excel College of Pharmacy participated enthusiastically in various sporting events and brought laurels to the institution through their remarkable performances. The Excel College of Pharmacy Cricket Team emerged as the State-Level Champion by securing the First Prize in the Cricket competition, demonstrating excellent teamwork, discipline, determination, and sporting excellence. The students also achieved remarkable success in other events, securing Third Prize in Kabaddi and Second Place in the 100 Metres Athletics event. Special appreciation is extended to Dr. A.K. LUNG CANCER AWARENESS RALLY AND SCREENING CAMP – 31.07.2026

On the occasion of World Lung Cancer Day, Excel College of Pharmacy, in association with the Rotary Club of TiruchengodeSangamam, organized a Lung Cancer Awareness Rally and Assessment and Screening Camp at Tiruchengode on 31 July 2026. The awareness rally commenced from the Old Bus Stand and concluded at the Government Hospital, Tiruchengode, with the objective of creating awareness about lung cancer, its risk factors, early warning signs, preventive measures, and the importance of early detection. Dr. G. Senthilkumar, Chief Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Tiruchengode, participated as the Chief Guest and flagged off the rally. The programme was attended by Mr. Thangavel, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Mrs. Deepa, Rural Police Inspector; and Mrs. Valarmathi, Town Police Inspector. Students and faculty members actively participated by carrying awareness placards promoting tobacco cessation, respiratory health, cancer prevention, and timely medical consultation. A Lung Cancer Assessment and Screening Camp were also conducted at the Government Hospital to educate the public about risk factors, early symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of timely screening. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. A. K. Natesan, Chairman; Dr. N. Matha Karthick, Vice Chairman; and Dr. R. Manivannan, Principal, Excel College of Pharmacy, and concluded successfully with the active support of the Rotary Club, faculty members, coordinators, and student volunteers.

WORLD HEPATITIS DAY 2026 – AWARENESS PROGRAMME – 28.07.2026

World Hepatitis Day is observed annually on 28 July to raise awareness about viral hepatitis and promote its prevention, early diagnosis, and effective treatment. In connection with this observance, Excel College of Pharmacy organized a World Hepatitis Day 2026 awareness programme under the theme “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down.”The programme was organized by the Pharm.D and D.Pharm students of Excel College of Pharmacy. The initiative aimed to educate the public about the causes, types, prevention, early detection, and treatment of hepatitis while emphasizing the importance of liver health. Excel College of Pharmacy celebrated World Youth Skills Day 2026 on 15th July 2026 under the theme “Skills for a Shared Future.”The programme emphasized the importance of developing technical, professional, entrepreneurial, digital, and life skills among young people.
It aimed to enhance students’ communication, leadership, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. The event was attended by 105 students of II Semester B.Pharm.The programme provided a platform for students to express innovative ideas and showcase their talents. An informative awareness session on NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) was conducted by Mr. S. Gowthamraj, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy. BLOOD DONATION CAMP– 07.07.2026

Excel College of Pharmacy successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on 07.07.2026 at the ECOP Library under the theme “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.” The camp was organized by the Health and Community Welfare Club in association with the Government Hospital, Tiruchengode. Dr. G. Senthilkumar, MBBS, DD., Chief Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Tiruchengode, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Department of Pharmacy Practice, Excel College of Pharmacy, participated in the International Seminar on “Innovative Pharmacy Practice for the Era of Precision Healthcare”, organized by Vivekananda College of Pharmacy on 03 July 2026 at the Auditorium, RTT Campus, Sankagiri. The seminar focused on recent advancements and emerging opportunities in clinical pharmacy practice, precision medicine, oncology pharmacy, personalized therapeutics, and patient-centered healthcare. The programme brought together eminent experts from India and abroad, who shared their knowledge, experiences, and professional insights in specialized areas of pharmacy practice. A total of 9 students from the Department of Pharmacy Practice benefited from the seminar. EDUCATIONAL FIELD VISIT TO SIDDHA MEDICINAL PLANTS GARDEN, METTUR – 03/07/2026

Excel College of Pharmacy organized an educational field visit to the Siddha Medicinal Plants Garden, Mettur, on 03 July 2026 for the I D.Pharm students as a part of the Pharmacognosy curriculum. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to medicinal plants and strengthen students’ understanding through experiential learning.During the visit, students explored more than 200 medicinal plant species, a medicinal plant nursery, and a collection of dried crude drugs. The students gained valuable knowledge about the identification, authentication, cultivation, collection, processing, and medicinal importance of various plants.An informative session was conducted by Dr. Radha, Scientist-II and In-charge, who explained the significance of medicinal plants and emphasized the importance of their proper identification, conservation, and sustainable utilization.The field visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. It enhanced their observational skills, enriched their knowledge of Pharmacognosy, and strengthened their understanding of the role of medicinal plants in pharmaceutical science.

The lecture focused on various aspects of pharmacovigilance practices followed in the pharmaceutical industry, including Individual Case Safety Report (ICSR) processing, end-to-end case lifecycle management, aggregate reporting, regulatory submissions, and quality review processes.

Leadership Development Programme – 3,4 July 2026

Dr. R. Manivannan, Principal, Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, successfully participated in the Leadership Development Programme for Pharmacy Leaders, organized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, on 3rd and 4th July 2026.

The prestigious two-day national programme brought together Principals, Deans, Directors, and senior faculty members from pharmacy institutions across India to strengthen academic leadership, institutional governance, quality assurance, innovation, and professional excellence in pharmacy education.

World Water Day – 27.03.2026

World Water Day was observed on 27 March 2026 at Excel College of Pharmacy by the Eco Club. The programme was conducted at the Seminar Hall and included a field visit to the rainwater harvesting tank.

The event, themed “Water and Gender,” aimed to raise awareness about global water challenges such as scarcity, pollution, and climate change, while promoting sustainable water management practices.

The programme featured welcome and presidential addresses, followed by student-led video and PowerPoint presentations highlighting water conservation, environmental protection, and the importance of clean water access. The sessions emphasized the need for collective action and sustainable development.

A field visit to the rainwater harvesting system provided practical insights into water conservation techniques. The session explained how such systems help in efficient water management and reduce the burden on communities, especially women, aligning with the theme.

Overall, the programme was informative and impactful, encouraging students to adopt responsible water usage and contribute to environmental sustainability.

The Orientation Session on “Proactive Clinical Pharmacist: Integrating Clinical Expertise into Patient Care” was conducted on 07.03.2026 by the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Excel Seminar Hall. The session included an expert talk by Dr. M. Rangapriya on “Clinical Pharmacist – Bridge between Medication Safety & Patient Care,” highlighting the role of clinical pharmacists in ensuring medication safety and improving patient care. The session enhanced students’ understanding of the responsibilities of Clinical pharmacists in healthcare settings.

World Tuberculosis Day Awareness Program – 13.03.2026

World Tuberculosis Day was observed on 13.03.2026 by the IV Pharm.D students of Excel College of Pharmacy at Komarapalayam GH. The program was conducted to create awareness about tuberculosis and its prevention. The session included placard display, notice distribution, and public awareness activities to educate people about the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of tuberculosis. A community awareness rally was also held in this behalf at Komarapalayam. Students actively participated in spreading awareness and took a pledge to promote TB-free communities. The program enhanced public awareness regarding tuberculosis and encouraged preventive practices among the community.

National Vaccination Day was observed on 17.03.2026 by the II Pharm.D students of Excel College of Pharmacy at Komarapalayam GH. The program was conducted to create awareness with the theme “Vaccination for All – Protecting Every Life.” The session included an awareness campaign and distribution of vaccination notices to the public to emphasize the importance of immunization. The Career Guidance Session was delivered by Mr. Aswin, Business Development Executive at Vibedu Corp Ltd. During his presentation, he discussed the importance of skill- based courses in shaping successful careers for pharmacy graduates. He provided valuable information regarding global job opportunities available for healthcare professionals and explained how specialized training programs can improve the employability of students in international markets. The Counselling and Training Session was conducted by Mr. Jothi Kannan, Senior Student Counsellor and Trainer at Vibedu Corp Ltd.. National Level Scientific Programme – “Pharma Anveshan” – 06.03.2026

Students and faculty from Excel College of Pharmacy participated in the National Level Scientific Programme – “Pharma Anveshan 2026” held on 06 March 2026 at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. A total of 21 students attended the conference under faculty guidance.

The programme, themed “Future Pharma Ecosystem: Fostering Synergy among Academia, Industry, Research, Regulatory and Practice,” brought together experts from various domains of pharmaceutical sciences. It featured keynote lectures on emerging technologies in drug discovery, regulatory advancements, biomedical innovations, and entrepreneurship.

The event also included oral, poster, and patent presentations, along with a panel discussion on future opportunities and challenges in the pharmaceutical sector. Notably, the Principal of Excel College of Pharmacy served as a session chairperson and was honored for his contribution.

A One Day Workshop on “AI Powered Drug Design: From Target Identification to Lead Optimization” was organized by the Publication and Creative Writing Club on 24.02.2026. The workshop covered AI applications in drug discovery, target identification, lead optimization, and ADMET prediction. The event included interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, and participant feedback. Overall, it enhanced participants’ knowledge in AI-based drug design and modern pharmaceutical research.

Alumni Meet – 31.05.2025

The Third alumni meet for the B.Pharm students was held at Excel Mini Auditorium A/C on 31.05.2025 successfully. The session was presided over by Prof.Dr.R.Manivannan, Principal, Excel College of Pharmacy with a warm welcome to the Alumni gathered from various parts of the State. Around 80 Alumni participated and shared their valued experience and feedback. National Deworming Day – 11.02.2026

National Deworming Day was observed on 11.02.2026 by the D.Pharm students with the theme “Worm-Free Children for a Healthier Future.” The program included awareness talks, video presentation, and hygiene demonstration. Albendazole tablets were distributed with dosage explanation to promote deworming practices. The session featured a special address by Mrs. Selvi, PHC Representative. Overall, the program enhanced awareness on hygiene and prevention of worm infections.

Health Club of Excel College of Pharmacy organized the World Malaria Day events on 25.04.2025 to create awareness about the need for renewed commitment to ending malaria through innovation, collaboration and sustained action.  The awareness insisted that with a significant reduction in malaria cases and deaths, we can aim for zero indigenous malaria cases by 2027 and full elimination by 2030.

WORLD HEMOPHILIA DAY – 17.04.2025

Health club of Excel College of Pharmacy organized the World Haemophilia Day awareness event on 17.04.2025 with the theme “ACCESS FOR ALL: WOMEN AND GIRLS BLEED TOO”.  The event emphasized the need for improved diagnosis, treatment, and support for women and girls with bleeding disorders. It also raised awareness about the unique challenges faced by the population, who often experience under diagnosis and delayed treatment.

WORLD HEALTH DAY – 07.04.2025

Excel College of Pharmacy, Health & Social welfare Committee organized the World Health Day event in the Excel seminar hall on 07.04.2025, in the theme “HEALTHY BEGINNINGS, HOPEFUL FUTURE”. The programme was focused on the various junk and hazardous diet pattern and the measures to rectify the improper diet habits. The event covered topics like nutrition, mental health, non-communicable diseases, and access to healthcare.

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AND ITS PRACTICE – 04.04.2025

Department of Pharmacy practice, Excel College of Pharmacy organized an awareness programme on Menstrual Hygiene and its practice exclusively for the girl students in the seminar hall on 04.04.2025. The programme aimed to assess the knowledge about menstruation and personal hygiene and to create awareness among the students. The organizers focused to raise awareness, dispel myths and promoted the use of safe menstrual products among young women.

WORLD SCIENCE DAY – 28.03.2025

On February 28, 2025, the First-year B. Pharm students at Excel College of Pharmacy organized National Science Day event in the Excel seminar hall, with the theme “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat”. The session created awareness about the various arenas and opportunities for the younger generation in the field of science and Innovation.

NATIONAL VACCINATION DAY – 25.03.2025

On March 25, 2025, the Health Club at Excel College of Pharmacy organized National Vaccination Day event in the Excel seminar hall, with the theme “Vaccines for All: Ensuring a Healthier Future”. The session created awareness about importance of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases. It Promoted the routine and special vaccination drives, especially for children and vulnerable populations. The programme was focused to understand the importance of immunization and its role in preventing diseases.

WORLD WATER DAY – 22.03.2025

ECO Club of Excel College of Pharmacy, organized the World Water Day events on 22.03.2025 to raise awareness about the vital role of glaciers in the climate system and water cycle. The students were taken to the field visit at Excel College’s rain water harvesting tank.  Mrs.K. Poornima and D. Mythili, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, highlighted the economic, social, and environmental impacts of glaciers, their accelerated melting, urging action to protect these crucial fresh water resources.

WORLD HAPPINESS DAY – 20.03.2025

Mental Wellness Academy of Excel College of Pharmacy celebrated the World Happiness Day on 20.03.2025 with the theme “Caring & Sharing”. The day moved on a high note with expressions of gratitude and the announcement of the “Happiness Day Challenge,” which involved assigning tasks to students and faculty to promote ongoing engagement and well-being. The event successfully fostered a sense of community, gratitude, and, most importantly, happiness.

INTER – COLLEGE SPEECH COMPETITION – 13.03.2025

Five B.Pharm & Pharm.D students of Excel College of Pharmacy participated in the Tamil and English Speech Competition which was conducted by State Minority Commission Government of Tamilnadu, at Paavai College of Pharmacy on 13.03.2025. The competition helped the participants improve their communication skills by learning how to effectively engage an audience. It also offered a platform for creative expression and personal growth. Students gathered prize and certificates in honour to their participation.

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY – 08.03.2025

Excel College of Pharmacy, Women Empowerment Cell proudly organized International Women’s Day event in the Excel seminar hall on 08.03.2025, to raise awareness about gender equality and women’s rights in social, economic, and political spheres. The programme was focused on the contributions and accomplishments of women in various fields. The chief-guest, Dr. T. Jayadeepa, Principal, Excel Nursing College delivered her speech about the support initiatives for women’s education, health, and leadership opportunities.

ONE DAY INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR – 14.02.2025

A total of 13 First B.Pharm students, along with one faculty member from our college, actively participated in the One-Day International Seminar organized by K.S. Rangasamy College of Pharmacy, Tiruchengode, held on February 14, 2025. The theme of the seminar was: “Artificial Intelligence in Drug Discovery and New Drug Delivery Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences”. The seminar provided an enriching experience for our students actively participated. The session offered valuable knowledge on aspects of infectious disease, management and preventive management.

WORLD CANCER DAY – 04.02.2025

II Pharm.D students organized to celebrate the World Cancer Day event in the Excel seminar hall On 04.02.2025, with the theme of this year “UNITED BY UNIQUE”.  This theme emphasizes the importance of personalized and treatment to cater to each individual’s unique needs. The session explained the importance of pharmacist involvement and care for cancer disease and affected people.

WORLD LEPROSY DAY – 30.01.2025

On the account of WORLD LEPROSY DAY, an awareness program has been organized by I Pharm.D students. Thought provoking drama was performed by the students, highlighting the importance of removing social stigma in treating Leprosy patients. Captivating video presentations were showcased, providing a comprehensive overview of Leprosy and its treatment. Students also delivered impassioned speeches both in Tamil and English, sharing their perspectives on World leprosy day and its impact on society. The awareness program was a resounding success, serving as a platform for raising awareness about World leprosy day and promoting a better understanding of its significance.

TWO DAYS NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM – 24.01.2025 & 25.01.2025

10 III B.Pharm students and one faculty participated in the two days national level symposium organized by Swamy Vivekanandha college of Pharmacy, Tiruchengode on 24.01.2025 & 25.01.2025. The seminar provided an enriching experience and offered valuable knowledge on various aspects of infectious diseases, their management and prevention.

NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY – 24.01.2025

Students of II – D. Pharm.D Organized the NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY on 24.01.2025 in an enthusiastic manner to spread awareness among people about inequalities faced by girls in the country and to promote awareness about the rights of girl children. The students raised awareness about various basic rights provided for us in the constitution. This programme created awareness and information about the importance of female education, health and to Promote the well-being, education and empowerment of girls, ensuring they have equal opportunities.

ONE DAY NATIONAL LEVEL CONFERENCE – 23.12.2024

Final-year B.Pharm & M.Pharm students participated in the National Conference on Current Trends in Pharmaceuticals organized by the TN Dr. MGR Medical University. Honorable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Thiru. Ma. Subramanian, graced the occasion and elaborated on the various government schemes introduced to advance the medical field.

ONE DAY NATIONAL LEVEL SEMINAR – 14.12.2024

A one-day national seminar was held at Excel College of Pharmacy. Researchers from various leading research institutes participated in this one-day seminar on artificial intelligence and patenting in the pharmaceutical industry and research. Dr. Balakumar Pichai, Principal researcher of Periyar Maniammai University, who spoke about the use of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical research journals, inaugurated this one-day national conference. He was followed by Dr. Gautham Rajan, Head of thedepartment, J. S. S.  College of Pharmacy, explained the various applications of artificial intelligence in the field of pharmacy and the use of drugs in the space industry. Dr. Narayana Reddy Kari, Director, Department of Research,  J. S. S.  College of Pharmacy concluded his presentation by mentioning the pros and cons of using artificial intelligence in his session. Dr. Shankar, Vice-Principal and Head of the Department , P.S.G. College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore started his speech after lunch break and gave an in-depth address on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Pharmacy to inspire students and researchers. More than 700 students and researchers from various colleges of pharmacy from all over the country participated in this one-day seminar. Founder of Excel Group of institutions, Dr. A.K. Natesan and Vice President Dr . Mathan Karthik directed this one day seminar and guided the event. This seminar was conducted under the sponsorship of The TN  Dr. MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu and  awarded 10 credit points.  Dr. Manivannan, Principal of the college welcomed all the guests and the researchers who participated in the seminar and delivered a keynote address. All the students and researchers who participated in the seminar were felicitated with certificates and momento.

NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY – 14.12.2024

The Second B.Pharm. students organised the NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY on 14.12.2024 in the Excel Seminar Hall, with the theme of this year “Powering Sustainability: Every Watt Counts”. This programme emphasized the importance of conserving energy to combat the global energy crisis. Students performed mime shows and skit  to create awareness about the conservation of energy and its sustainability.

HUMAN RIGHTS DAY – 10.12.2024

Students of II – Pharm.D Organized the HUMAN RIGHTS DAY on 10.12.2024 in an enthusiastic manner. The students raised awareness about various basic rights provided for us in the constitution. This programme created awareness and information about the human rights and their implementations in the society. Also the students took a pledge to safeguard the human rights in a proper way and support every individual of the society.

State Level Intercollegiate Sports Meet – 20.03.2024 to 22.03.2024

Excel College of Pharmacy hosted the second state-level sports meet, Pharmaexcelite – 2.0, from 20.03.2024 to 22.03.2024. Hon.Chairman, Rtn.Prof.Dr.A.K.Natesan presided over the Sports Meet and declared the sports meet Open and Dr.N.Mathan Karthick, Vice-Chairman felicitated the players. Chief guest, Mr.RamPrasath, Propreitor, Hari KSV Ltd., elaborated the importance of sports and cultural in the well being of an  Around 2000 students from 42 colleges throughout Tamilnadu actively participated in various group events such as cricket, volleyball, basketball, throw ball, tennikoit, Kho-Kho and badminton. The Overall Champion’s Trophy was won by PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, with 75 points. Students of Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy, Tiruchengode positioned themselves in the first place in exhibiting their Variety Talents.

Excel College of Pharmacy celebrated the Annual Day and Cultural Fest in a grandeur manner on 24.11.2023 & 25.11.2023 at Excel Convention Centre. The Event was carried out in an enthusiastic way with full of joy and vigour. The chief guests were Dr.NK Manjunath, Pro-Vice Chancellor & Research Director, S-Vyasa University, Dr.E.SivaBalan, MD(Psychiatry) and Dr.C.Kavitha, Doctoral Committee Member, Annamalai University, Chidambaram for the first day and participated with encouragement and motivation. Around 750 Pharmacy students from 10 colleges actively participated in the seminar . The Resource persons, Dr.S.Sriram, Head, Dept.of PharmacyPractice, Sri Ramakrishna College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, Dr.V.Sankar, Vice-Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore and Dr.B.Dharini, Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate, Karpagam Hospital, Coimbatore engaged the forenoon session with their  profound knowledge and inputs. The afternoon session was taken over by Dr.M.RangaPriya, Professor and Mr.G.SureshKumar, Associate Professor to enlighten the students. Around 1750 students from 48 colleges throughout Tamilnadu actively participated in various group events such as cricket, volleyball, basket ball, throw ball, tennikoit, and badminton . The Overall Champion’s Trophy was won by PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, with 89 points, followed by Sri Ramakrishna College of Pharmacy with 48 points. Students of Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy, Tiruchengode positioned in the first place in exhibiting their Variety Talents.
