Scope of the Course

B.Pharm is a career-oriented course for science students, and graduates will have a wide range of work opportunities in the pharmacy industry, including drugs and medicines, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical engineering, and so on. Students may work in a variety of departments within pharmaceutical companies, including packaging, marketing, quality control, and production. Those who want to continue their education in the pharmacy field,they can pursue for master of pharmacy (MPharm) after completion of B.Pharm.

Convert natural human potential to proactive professionals in pharmacy and contribute their innovative thinking to higher education, research and development of Pharmaceutical Science.
To provide students with basic and advanced concepts in the various fields of Pharmaceutical Sciences as required by Pharmaceutical Companies, Community and Health Care Services
To provide a platform for upgrading knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing through interaction with industries and offering industrial training for their academic and professional growth in life.
Encourage students to learn and engage in entrepreneurship, training programmes for the advancement of their skills, and opportunities for self-employment.
To inspire graduates through the requisite orientation to absorb emerging technology and take a leadership role in society for lifelong learning.

Programme Outcomes

Knowledge and understanding of the core and basic knowledge of the pharmacy profession, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioural, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices.
Demonstrate effective planning skills, including time management, management of resources, delegation skills, and organizational skills. Develop and execute strategies to meet deadlines, and coordinate work.
Using the principles of scientific analysis, logical, consistent and rational thinking when solving problems and making decisions during everyday practise. Systematically define, analyse, evaluate and apply knowledge, and make defensible decisions.
Understand and consider the human response to change, problems of motivation, leadership and team-building while preparing improvements necessary for practice, professional and social roles to be met. To promote progress in health and well-being, undertake participatory positions as active citizens or leadership roles if necessary.
Honor personal values in professional and social settings and apply ethical standards. Demonstrate behavior in beliefs, communication and lifestyles that acknowledge cultural and personal variability. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical standards during decision-making and take responsibility for the decisions-related effects.
