WORLD HEPATITIS DAY 2026 – AWARENESS PROGRAMME

World Hepatitis Day is observed annually on 28 July to raise awareness about viral hepatitis and promote its prevention, early diagnosis, and effective treatment. In connection with this observance, Excel College of Pharmacy organized a World Hepatitis Day 2026 awareness programme under the theme “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down.”The programme was organized by the Pharm.D and D.Pharm students of Excel College of Pharmacy. The initiative aimed to educate the public about the causes, types, prevention, early detection, and treatment of hepatitis while emphasizing the importance of liver health. As part of the campaign, students distributed informative pamphlets and personally explained key awareness messages. They highlighted the importance of hepatitis B vaccination, proper hand hygiene, safe food and clean drinking water, and avoiding the sharing of needles, razors, and other personal items. The programme successfully promoted awareness, encouraged preventive health practices, and inspired students to contribute actively to community health and disease prevention.
