WORLD MALARIA DAY – 25.04.2025
Health Club of Excel College of Pharmacy organized the World Malaria Day events on 25.04.2025 to create awareness about the need for renewed commitment to ending malaria through innovation, collaboration and sustained action. The awareness insisted that with a significant reduction in malaria cases and deaths, we can aim for zero indigenous malaria cases by 2027 and full elimination by 2030.
WORLD HEMOPHILIA DAY – 17.04.2025
Health club of Excel College of Pharmacy organized the World Haemophilia Day awareness event on 17.04.2025 with the theme “ACCESS FOR ALL: WOMEN AND GIRLS BLEED TOO”. The event emphasized the need for improved diagnosis, treatment, and support for women and girls with bleeding disorders. It also raised awareness about the unique challenges faced by the population, who often experience under diagnosis and delayed treatment.
WORLD HEALTH DAY – 07.04.2025
Excel College of Pharmacy, Health & Social welfare Committee organized the World Health Day event in the Excel seminar hall on 07.04.2025, in the theme “HEALTHY BEGINNINGS, HOPEFUL FUTURE”. The programme was focused on the various junk and hazardous diet pattern and the measures to rectify the improper diet habits. The event covered topics like nutrition, mental health, non-communicable diseases, and access to healthcare.
MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AND ITS PRACTICE – 04.04.2025
Department of Pharmacy practice, Excel College of Pharmacy organized an awareness programme on Menstrual Hygiene and its practice exclusively for the girl students in the seminar hall on 04.04.2025. The programme aimed to assess the knowledge about menstruation and personal hygiene and to create awareness among the students. The organizers focused to raise awareness, dispel myths and promoted the use of safe menstrual products among young women.
WORLD SCIENCE DAY – 28.03.2025
On February 28, 2025, the First-year B. Pharm students at Excel College of Pharmacy organized National Science Day event in the Excel seminar hall, with the theme “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat”. The session created awareness about the various arenas and opportunities for the younger generation in the field of science and Innovation.
NATIONAL VACCINATION DAY – 25.03.2025
On March 25, 2025, the Health Club at Excel College of Pharmacy organized National Vaccination Day event in the Excel seminar hall, with the theme “Vaccines for All: Ensuring a Healthier Future”. The session created awareness about importance of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases. It Promoted the routine and special vaccination drives, especially for children and vulnerable populations. The programme was focused to understand the importance of immunization and its role in preventing diseases.
WORLD WATER DAY – 22.03.2025
ECO Club of Excel College of Pharmacy, organized the World Water Day events on 22.03.2025 to raise awareness about the vital role of glaciers in the climate system and water cycle. The students were taken to the field visit at Excel College’s rain water harvesting tank. Mrs.K. Poornima and D. Mythili, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, highlighted the economic, social, and environmental impacts of glaciers, their accelerated melting, urging action to protect these crucial fresh water resources.
WORLD HAPPINESS DAY – 20.03.2025
Mental Wellness Academy of Excel College of Pharmacy celebrated the World Happiness Day on 20.03.2025 with the theme “Caring & Sharing”. The day moved on a high note with expressions of gratitude and the announcement of the “Happiness Day Challenge,” which involved assigning tasks to students and faculty to promote ongoing engagement and well-being. The event successfully fostered a sense of community, gratitude, and, most importantly, happiness.
INTER – COLLEGE SPEECH COMPETITION – 13.03.2025
Five B.Pharm & Pharm.D students of Excel College of Pharmacy participated in the Tamil and English Speech Competition which was conducted by State Minority Commission Government of Tamilnadu, at Paavai College of Pharmacy on 13.03.2025. The competition helped the participants improve their communication skills by learning how to effectively engage an audience. It also offered a platform for creative expression and personal growth. Students gathered prize and certificates in honour to their participation.
INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY – 08.03.2025
Excel College of Pharmacy, Women Empowerment Cell proudly organized International Women’s Day event in the Excel seminar hall on 08.03.2025, to raise awareness about gender equality and women’s rights in social, economic, and political spheres. The programme was focused on the contributions and accomplishments of women in various fields. The chief-guest, Dr. T. Jayadeepa, Principal, Excel Nursing College delivered her speech about the support initiatives for women’s education, health, and leadership opportunities.
ONE DAY INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR – 14.02.2025
A total of 13 First B.Pharm students, along with one faculty member from our college, actively participated in the One-Day International Seminar organized by K.S. Rangasamy College of Pharmacy, Tiruchengode, held on February 14, 2025. The theme of the seminar was: “Artificial Intelligence in Drug Discovery and New Drug Delivery Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences”. The seminar provided an enriching experience for our students actively participated. The session offered valuable knowledge on aspects of infectious disease, management and preventive management.
WORLD CANCER DAY – 04.02.2025
II Pharm.D students organized to celebrate the World Cancer Day event in the Excel seminar hall On 04.02.2025, with the theme of this year “UNITED BY UNIQUE”. This theme emphasizes the importance of personalized and treatment to cater to each individual’s unique needs. The session explained the importance of pharmacist involvement and care for cancer disease and affected people.
WORLD LEPROSY DAY – 30.01.2025
On the account of WORLD LEPROSY DAY, an awareness program has been organized by I Pharm.D students. Thought provoking drama was performed by the students, highlighting the importance of removing social stigma in treating Leprosy patients. Captivating video presentations were showcased, providing a comprehensive overview of Leprosy and its treatment. Students also delivered impassioned speeches both in Tamil and English, sharing their perspectives on World leprosy day and its impact on society. The awareness program was a resounding success, serving as a platform for raising awareness about World leprosy day and promoting a better understanding of its significance.
TWO DAYS NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM – 24.01.2025 & 25.01.2025
10 III B.Pharm students and one faculty participated in the two days national level symposium organized by Swamy Vivekanandha college of Pharmacy, Tiruchengode on 24.01.2025 & 25.01.2025. The seminar provided an enriching experience and offered valuable knowledge on various aspects of infectious diseases, their management and prevention.
NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY – 24.01.2025
Students of II – D. Pharm.D Organized the NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY on 24.01.2025 in an enthusiastic manner to spread awareness among people about inequalities faced by girls in the country and to promote awareness about the rights of girl children. The students raised awareness about various basic rights provided for us in the constitution. This programme created awareness and information about the importance of female education, health and to Promote the well-being, education and empowerment of girls, ensuring they have equal opportunities.
ONE DAY NATIONAL LEVEL CONFERENCE – 23.12.2024
Final-year B.Pharm & M.Pharm students participated in the National Conference on Current Trends in Pharmaceuticals organized by the TN Dr. MGR Medical University. Honorable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Thiru. Ma. Subramanian, graced the occasion and elaborated on the various government schemes introduced to advance the medical field.
ONE DAY NATIONAL LEVEL SEMINAR – 14.12.2024
A one-day national seminar was held at Excel College of Pharmacy. Researchers from various leading research institutes participated in this one-day seminar on artificial intelligence and patenting in the pharmaceutical industry and research. Dr. Balakumar Pichai, Principal researcher of Periyar Maniammai University, who spoke about the use of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical research journals, inaugurated this one-day national conference. He was followed by Dr. Gautham Rajan, Head of thedepartment, J. S. S. College of Pharmacy, explained the various applications of artificial intelligence in the field of pharmacy and the use of drugs in the space industry. Dr. Narayana Reddy Kari, Director, Department of Research, J. S. S. College of Pharmacy concluded his presentation by mentioning the pros and cons of using artificial intelligence in his session. Dr. Shankar, Vice-Principal and Head of the Department , P.S.G. College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore started his speech after lunch break and gave an in-depth address on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Pharmacy to inspire students and researchers. More than 700 students and researchers from various colleges of pharmacy from all over the country participated in this one-day seminar. Founder of Excel Group of institutions, Dr. A.K. Natesan and Vice President Dr . Mathan Karthik directed this one day seminar and guided the event. This seminar was conducted under the sponsorship of The TN Dr. MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu and awarded 10 credit points. Dr. Manivannan, Principal of the college welcomed all the guests and the researchers who participated in the seminar and delivered a keynote address. All the students and researchers who participated in the seminar were felicitated with certificates and momento.
NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY – 14.12.2024
The Second B.Pharm. students organised the NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY on 14.12.2024 in the Excel Seminar Hall, with the theme of this year “Powering Sustainability: Every Watt Counts”. This programme emphasized the importance of conserving energy to combat the global energy crisis. Students performed mime shows and skit to create awareness about the conservation of energy and its sustainability.
HUMAN RIGHTS DAY – 10.12.2024
Students of II – Pharm.D Organized the HUMAN RIGHTS DAY on 10.12.2024 in an enthusiastic manner. The students raised awareness about various basic rights provided for us in the constitution. This programme created awareness and information about the human rights and their implementations in the society. Also the students took a pledge to safeguard the human rights in a proper way and support every individual of the society.
Global Hand Washing Day – 16.10.2024
Students from I – Pharm.D Organized the GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY on 16.10.2024 in a grandeur manner. A mind blowing dance performance was given by the girl students to create awareness about the step and method of hand washing. The highlight of the session was the SKIT displayed by the boys of the class that depicted how hand washing prevents the attack by germs.
World Food Day – 16.10.2024
Students of I -B.Pharm organized the World Food Day Celebrations in an extraordinary manner. The event was conducted with the guidance of Hon.Chairman Prof. A.K Natesan and vice- chairman Dr.Mathan Karthick. Prof.Dr.R.Manivannan, Principal presided over the event and encouraged the students. The Celebration included skit, debate, oration and video presentations to bring awareness about the wise and right use of food and maintaining health. The session also included exposure to the ill effects of junk food.
World Mental Health Day – 17.10.2024
I – D.Pharm students observed the world mental health day on 17.10.2024 with enthusiasm and interest. Various tasks like speech, video presentations and SKIT were displayed to increase awareness about mental health issues, including the signs, symptoms and importance of seeking help early. The students tried to explain that mental health challenges gain a sense of community, empowerment and support through public events and conversations about mental health.
World Immunization Day – 11.11.2024
Students from II – D. Pharm Organized the WORLD IMMUNIZATION DAY on 11.11.2024 in a grandeur manner. The students raised awareness about immunization and vaccination against pathogens and prevention of various infectious diseases. This programme performed a better job for sharing awareness and providing information about the safety and benefits of immunization.
World Diabetes Day – 14.11.2024
The Second Pharm.D students organised the World Diabetes Day event on 14.11.2024 in the Excel Seminar Hall, with the theme of this year “Breaking Barriers, Bridging Gaps”. This programme emphasized the importance of communities working together to combat diabetes a global health crisis. Students performed the Blood pressure and Blood sugar tests to create awareness about the prevalence and prevention of Diabetes mellitus.
International Day For The Elimination Of Violence Against Women – 25.11.2024
On November 25, 2024, Third Year Pharm.D students organized an International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women event in the Seminar Hall, with the theme for this year being “Unite to End Violence against Women”. The programme highlighted key points related to the protection of women’s rights and the need for societal change to ensure their safety and dignity.

National Innovation Day – 15.10.2023
Students of the B.Pharm (Sem-III) conducted observed the National Innovation Day in remembrance of the Birth Anniversary of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam under the theme of Step out and Innovate. Students actively participated in the event and displayed several working models to cater the daily needs of the society in the Mega Creativity Expo. All the participants were encouraged with appreciation certificates.
Drug Abuse Day – 11.08.2023
The drug abuse day was commemorated in Excel college of Pharmacy in connection to the “Drug Free Tamilnadu” programme called upon by the Government of Tamilnadu on 11.08.2023. The students and faculty members undertook the pledge stating their assurance educating their family and friends to bring a drug free state.
Anti-Natal Care Day – 18.07.2023
Excel College of Pharmacy in association with the Primary Health centre, Pallakkapalayam conducted awareness programme about anti-natal care among the pregnant women. The programme served as an eye-opener for the pregnant women about the life style practices during gestation period.
World Youth Skills Day – 15.07.2023
The Youth Skills Day celebration at Excel College of Pharmacy was conducted on 15th July 2023 with great enthusiasm and participation under the theme of “Skilling teachers, trainers, and youth for a transformative future”. The event aimed to promote the hidden skills and talents of the students.
World Population Day – 11.07.2023
“WORLD POPULATION DAY” awareness programme was organized by II B.Pharm – Sem III students on 11th July 2023 at Excel Seminar Hall. The programme included awareness skit, debates and video clips. Students also exhibited models to create awareness about the hazards of uncontrolled population rise.
National Panchayat Raj Day – 24.04.2023
Institution Innovation Council (IIC), Excel College of Pharmacy jointly organized “NATIONAL PANCHAYAT RAJ DAY” awareness programme on 24th April 2023 at Excel Seminar Hall. Students show cast a skit to exhibit the functioning of a model Village Panchayat organization and displayed the functional roles of the Panchayat system at various levels.

National Pharmacy Week Celebration – 25.11.2022
Excel College of Pharmacy in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association Organized “Public Awareness Rally” to commemorate the 61st National Pharmacy Week Celebrations on 25.11.2022 at Komarapalayam. Around 300 students participated in the event and aroused awareness about the right use of medicines and the role of Pharmacists in health care team.

Excel College of Pharmacy conducted “Blood donation camp” on 10th March 2022 at Excel Medical campus.

COVID Appropriate Behaviour Programme-(CAB)-Pledge (23/04/2021)
A new campaign launched by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 08/10/2020 pledged against prevention of COVID-19. As per the instructions from The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai Tamilnadu, Excel College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam organized “Jan Andolan for COVID-19 (Appropriate Behaviour) Pledge” on 23.04.2021 by 10 am at College campus. Prof. Dr.R.Manivannan, Principal, participated as guest of Honor for this Programme. The pledge has been read out and it was repeated by all, promising to wear a mask / face cover in public places, maintaining a minimum distance of 6 feet & to wash hand frequently and thoroughly with soap and water. Information on vaccine currently available in hospital along with registration process for COVID-19 vaccination phase 3 made available for people from May 2021. All teaching faculties and Final B.Pharm Students have taken the pledge.

COVID Appropriate Behaviour Programme-(CAB)-Rangoli-(24/04/2021)
As a part of CAB Programme, aimed at creating awareness among public, Rangoli Awareness Program was held at Excel College of Pharmacy on 24th April 2021.The Rangoli was designed by Final B.Pharm Students, with the aim of creating awareness among people about on ongoing pandemic situation.Rangoli having quotes like “keep social distancing”, “ wear mask”, “use sanitizer”, “safety”, “healthy food”, “water”, “social distance” were made on the floor as a part of the awareness program campaign.

COVID Appropriate Behaviour Programme-(CAB)-Awareness Rally-(24/04/2021)
Excel College of Pharmacy held a rally to raise awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic along with local police officials in Komarapalayam and masks were distributed to residents. Students at the awareness rally urged people to wear masks, use hand sanitizers, clean their hands regularly, and maintain a social distance of 6 feet between them. Masks are the best way to protect oneself from the corona pandemic. The students also distributed stickers to shopkeepers to raise awareness of all of the safety precautions. Stickers were placed in all of the stores.

World Pharmacist Day 2020 (25/09/2021)
World Pharmacist Day 2020 was celebrated by all Staff and the students with great joy. Prof. Dr. R. Manivannan, Principal, delivered Key Notes at the beginning of the event and addressed various activities organized by the college on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day. He clarified the theme of “Transforming global health “for this year’s Pharmacist Day. College has organized online Webinar on “Pharmacist Role in Transforming Global Health Post COVID 19”. Dr. Gopal V., Professor-cum-Principal & HOD Pharmacognosy, Mother Theresa Postgraduate and Research Institute of Health Sciences, Puducherry explains the Different facets of the pharmacy profession were addressed, along with the roles and challenges facing pharmacy professionals. With his unique and traditional way of interaction, he won the hearts of all students and at the same time told them about different strategies and policies adopted by India to promote generic drugs.
World Polio Day Celebrations (Date: 24/11/2019)
An event on the occasion of ‘World Polio Day’ Awareness rally was organized by the Excel College of Pharmacy, along with Rotary club of sankagiri & Rotary club of Sankagiri west on 24 October 2019. The campaign was launched in 1988 to raise awareness of the eradication of polio, making the world ‘POLIO FREE.’ As well as to commemorate the efforts made for this purpose by thousands of doctors, pharmacists and other volunteers. Cases of polio have since been reduced by 99 percent worldwide.
Prof. Dr. A.K. Natesan, Hon. Chairman, Excel Group Institutions & Rotary District Governor, was the chief guest at the event. He spoke of polio prevention and stressed the future challenges associated with the polio virus.

Celebrations of International Yoga Day (Date: 21/06/2019)
Excel College of Pharmacy, observed the International Yoga Day on June 21, 2019. The function started with short speech regarding the importance of International Yoga Day and the benefits of making yoga a part of our daily routine. The yoga instructions and demonstrations were given for students and the faculty members attended the sessions. The yoga programme included introduction and practice of 12 yogasanas – Tadasana, Trikonasana, Ardhachakrasana, Bhujangasana, Vakrasana to name a few and three pranayama namely Kapalbhati pranayama, Bhramari pranayama and Anulom-Vilom pranayam
World Tree Plantation Day (15/08/2019)
The mega plantation drive was carried out at Excel College of Pharmacy to observe World Tree Plantation Day. The college students were planting saplings to observe the World Tree Plantation Day on the college campus along with the faculty members. At 8 am, the plantation drive started, where the student community planted the saplings. The students and faculty members of the college have planted as many as 50 saplings at the campus. Students and faculty members made a vow during the planting process to plant more trees and protect the world.

Independence Day Celebration (15/08/2019)
The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated at Excel College of Pharmacy. The flag hoisting ceremony was attended by both teaching and non-teaching faculties.
