National Pharmacy Week Celebration
59th National Pharmacy week 2020
The National pharmacy week is celebrated every year during the 3rd week of November. This year, to describe the role of pharmacist, pharmacy profession and to spread the awareness amongst public Excel College of Pharmacy celebrating 59th Pharmacy week, 2020 from 20-22ndNovember, 2020 on the theme “Pharmacist: Frontline Health Professionals”. The event celebrated in online by organizing National Level Webinar for Students. Dr. V. Kalaiselvan, Principal Scientific Officer, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, India, explained about The Role of Pharmacists in the Fight against Covid-19. Dr. Vengadeshprabhu K Gounder, Postdoctoral Researcher, Department Of Orthopedics And Rehabilitation, Penn State College of Medicine, USA, briefed about the Modulation of GRK2 Signaling Alleviating Synovial Inflammation In Osteoarthritis. Mr. M. N. Sridhar, Deputy Director of Drug Control, Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, Government of Tamilnadu, Chennai, discussed about the roles and responsibilities of a pharmacist during a pandemic situation. The three-day Webinar help the students and faculties to imbibe an insightful learning experience.
58th National Pharmacy week 2019
58th National Pharmacy Week 2019 was organized from 18th November to 21st November 2019 on the basis of the theme: “Pharmacists: Your Medication Counselor.” Students of both B.Pharm and D.Pharm took part in the celebration of NPW. During this time, various events, such as Essay, Debate, Pharma crazy ad, Interview skills, Group discussion, Quiz, Paper presentation, Drawing, Elocution, Poster presentation, Extempore, and detailing of Pharma were organized. Students are actively participated and winners are acknowledged with prizes.
