Trends in Technology Skill Enhancement Program Textile 4.0: Bridging Skill and Technology in Textile Industry
The Departments of Textile and Fashion Designing (TFD) and Costume Design and Fashion (CDF) at Excel College for Commerce and Science hosted the Trends in Technology Skill Enhancement Program on Textile 4.0. The program aimed to bridge the gap between traditional skills and emerging technologies in the textile industry.
Dr. K. Christie Jennifer, Head of the Department, opened the session with a warm welcome address, highlighting the importance of Textile 4.0 and its transformative impact on the industry. Principal Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, in his Presidential Address, emphasized integrating technology to enhance productivity and sustainability in textiles.
Mr. Sampath Kasirajan, Director of Injex, Bangalore, delivered an enlightening keynote address, sharing insights on automation, digital transformation, and sustainable practices revolutionizing the textile sector. Dr. K. Manjula, Program Head – School of Arts and Science, praised the department’s efforts and encouraged students to seize such opportunities to enhance their skills.
Special appreciation was extended to Dr. T. Sankar, Chief IQAC Coordinator, for his guidance in the program’s success. The interactive session allowed students to engage with the chief guest, deepening their understanding of technological innovations.
