About the Department

The PG Computer Science Department was established in the year 2021. With qualified and experienced faculty Members, the Department is equipped with good infrastructure. It offers globally valuable education in Computer Science and produces highly competent and value based students.After having received an overwhelming response from B.Sc. Computer Scienceprogramme that was started from the year 2018, M.Sc. Programme was introduced to promotea research activity which is one of the chief focuses of the institution.

The strength of the department lies in the industry tie-ups and coupled with commitment to Research. It ensures the students get a rigorous, relevant and board education.

Vision

To teach the foundations of Computer Science to a level to gain mastery over the subject and to develop interest so as to address basic questions of Computer science, to be creative and to think further to find answers for them without losing ethical character of life.

Mission

To impart the knowledge of current technologies and to equip the students with required skill sets and personality traits such as team building and communication skills besides the contents of the syllabus.

Dr.K.Munusamy, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department has published and got patent on internet of things based automatic and smart speed control system for vehicles on 15/01/2021. Ref: the patent office journal no. 03/2021 dated on 15/01/2021.

Dr.K.MunusamyAssistant Professor and Head of the Departmenthas published a research article in UGC Care Journal- ISSN: 2249-6661, Vol-43, No.-4, (VI) October-December 2020 on Machine Learning Algorithms to control the security issues in Android Applications.

Dr.K.Munusamy, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department has published an article on Channel State Responsive Routing Using Intensity Probable Field in Wireless Sensor Networks in International Journal of Advanced Research in Engineering and Technology (IJARET),-,Volume-11 April-2020.
