Swachh Bharat Cell, Excel College for Commerce and Science, Komarapalayam, in association with the Erode Rotary Club, successfully organized an Outreach Programme on Cleanliness Awareness at Erode Railway Station on 1st July 2025 at 10:00 am. Mr. C. JeyaMadhesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Swachh Bharat Cell Coordinator, delivered the Welcome Address. His speech set the tone for the day, emphasizing the significance of collective efforts in maintaining cleanliness.

The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science, who underscored the vital role educational institutions played in nurturing responsible citizens. Dr. S. Subramaniam, Programme Head, School of Commerce, and Dr. K. Christie Jennifer, Cells & Clubs Coordinator and Head of the Department of TFD & CDF, gave the Felicitation Address, highlighting the collaboration between educational institutions and community organizations like the Rotary Club in driving positive change.

Dr. T. Shankar, Chief IQAC, honored the Chief Guest for their outstanding contributions to education and community initiatives. RTN.A.J.Saravanan, President of the Rotary Club of Erode North, was the chief guest of the program. He spoke about the role of youth in driving social change and the importance of sustainability in daily life.

During the Cleanliness Drive, over 100 students, staff, and community members participated together to clean the railway station premises, showcasing the power of community involvement in maintaining public spaces. The event was a resounding success. To conclude, the event wrapped up with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. P. Thirupathi, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil and Swachh Bharat Cell Coordinator, who expressed gratitude to all the participants, volunteers, and collaborators for making the event successful.
