On the occasion of National Deworming Day, The Micro Gala Association, Department of Microbiology has organized an awareness program on Lymphatic Filariasis on February 14, 2025, at A2 – Microbiology Lab. The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. D. Ramya Head, Department of Microbiology. The Presidential Address was given by Dr.R.Vimal Nishant Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science. Dr.T.Shankar, Chief IQAC, delivered his visionary address. The Felicitation Address was delivered by Dr.K.Manjula, Programme Head, School of Arts and Science. Following this, Mr.S.Santhosh, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, introduced the esteemed guest speaker, Mrs. K. Vasanthapriya, M.Sc (O&G), Associate Professor, Excel Nursing College, Komarapalayam. The guest was honored with a shawl and a memento. Mrs. K. Vasanthapriya delivered an insightful speech on Filariasis Awareness and Prevention. The event successfully instilled awareness and motivation among students. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. P. Sindhu, II B.Sc Microbiology. This programme was coordinated by Mr.S.Santhosh Assistant professor. Department of Microbiology.
