Code Innovators Club Building A Smart Future Through Code Innovation

Excel College for Commerce and Science, Code Innovators Club organized an awareness program on “Building a Smart Future through Code Innovation” on 04.07.2024 at Palaniyappar Hall. The program began on a traditional note with the Tamil Thaai Vazhthu, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. Welcome Address was delivered by Mrs. S. Kiruthika, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Presidential Address was given by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science. He emphasized the importance of innovation in coding and its role in shaping the future of students and the tech industry.

Dr. T. Shankar, Chief IQAC, delivered visionary address and highlighted the importance of maintaining academic excellence in higher education. Felicitation Address was given by Dr. K. Munusamy, Program Head, School of Computer Science, who commended the department’s initiative and highlighted the value of student involvement in code innovation. Dr. S. Subramaniyam, Program Head, School of Commerce, Excel College for Commerce and Science, gave the guest introduction, highlighting the guest’s expertise and notable achievements, and warmly welcomed him on behalf of the institution.

The guest speaker, Dr. G. M. Tamilselvan, Dean of the School of Computer Science at Excel Engineering College, inspired the students with his insightful ideas. He emphasized the importance of cultivating innovative thinking and demonstrated how coding can be leveraged as a powerful tool to solve real-world problems. This was followed by a Technical Session, where students gained valuable insights into coding trends, smart innovations, and career-oriented approaches in technology. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. N. Punitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, who expressed sincere gratitude to all contributors and participants for making the event a grand success. The program ended with the rendering of the National Anthem. A total of 82 students participated in the program.
