The Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Technology at Excel College for Commerce and Science successfully organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony with TRI-BIOTECH (Trichy Research Institute of Biotechnology Pvt. Ltd.) on 18th July 2025. This event marked a significant milestone in strengthening academia–industry collaboration. The MoU was formally signed Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal, Excel College for commerce and Science, and Dr. E. Angel Jemina, Chief Executive Officer of TRI-BIOTECH. This strategic partnership is set to offer students enriched academic and professional exposure through hands-on training, research collaborations, internships, workshops, and skill-development programs in the domains of biotechnology and clinical laboratory sciences.

The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. T. Shankar, Chief  IQAC, and Dr. K. Manjula, Programme Head, School of Arts and Science. Both emphasized the vital role of industry-linked learning in preparing students for competitive scientific careers. The event was organized by Mrs. K.P. Indumathi, Head, Department of the Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Technology, and coordinated by Mrs. K. Vaishnavi, Assistant Professor, reflecting the department’s dedicated efforts toward advancing student development and employability. This collaboration is expected to bridge academic learning with industrial application, empowering students with real-world skills and research exposure. The signing of the MoU stands as a testament to Excel College’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and career readiness in the field of life sciences.
