Admission Procedure and Facilities Provided to International Students

International applicants (including foreign nationals) are required to follow a structured admission procedure facilitated by the College’s Foreign Admission Cell.

  1. Check Basic Eligibility
  • Applicants must have completed the appropriate qualifying examination, such as 10+2 for undergraduate programs and a bachelor’s degree for postgraduate programs.
  • A good level of proficiency in English is required for all international applicants.
  1. Document Submission (Pre-Arrival)
  • Applicants must submit soft copies of their academic certificates (e.g., 10+2 / ‘A’ Level mark sheets) to the college’s Foreign Admissions email address.
  • After review, the college will verify the applicant’s eligibility and issue a Provisional Admission Letter, if found eligible.
  • The Provisional Admission Letter must be used to apply for an Indian Student Visa at the Indian Embassy or High Commission in the applicant’s home country.
  1. Visa & Travel
  • After the student visa is approved, applicants should make their travel arrangements to India. The nearest airports are Coimbatore and Chennai.
  • Applicants must inform the college in advance about their travel plans so that appropriate arrival assistance and guidance can be provided.
  1. Arrival & Final Admission Formalities
  • Applicants must report to the Foreign Nationals Cell or the Admission Office upon arrival in India.
  • Submit original certificates for verification.
  • Pay the required fees to formally confirm the admission.
  • The college will provide guidance for statutory procedures, including processing of the Equivalence Certificate (from the District Education Officer) and the Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC), if applicable.
  1. Student Registration Requirements
  • International students must register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within the mandatory timeframe, typically within 15 days of arrival in India.
  • This registration is required to convert the student visa into a valid stay/registration permit.
  • The college will assist students throughout the FRRO registration process.

Note: Requirements may vary based on nationality. Procedures for students from Nepal and Bhutan may differ according to prevailing government norms.
