On 30th December 2024, the Department of Textile and Fashion Designing (TFD) and Costume Design and Fashion (CDF) at Excel College for Commerce and Science hosted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Chandra’s Herbal Beauty Clinic and Institute, Komarapalayam. The ceremony, held at the A8 Board Room at 11:00 a.m., was a significant event aimed at fostering collaboration between the college and the beauty institute. The MoU was signed by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant, Principal of Excel College, and Ms. R. Chandra, Founder of Chandra’s Herbal Beauty Clinic. Key dignitaries included Dr. T. Shankar, Chief IQAC, and Dr. K. Manjula, Programme Head, School of Arts and Science. The event was organized by Dr. K. Christie Jennifer, Head of the TFD and CDF Departments, and coordinated by Mr. M. Venkat Prasath, Assistant Professor of TFD. The MoU focuses on providing students with valuable opportunities for skill development, hands-on training, and industry exposure in beauty and wellness. This partnership bridges the gap between academic learning and industry practices, ensuring students gain practical experience in their fields.
