Camp BCH&CLT

The Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Technology at Excel College for Commerce and Science, komarapalayam, organized a free medical camp in Ayndhupanai, Kadachanallur on September 29, 2024, in collaboration with Amoda Healthcare, Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital, and Shri Kala Dental Clinic. Inaugurated by Mr. S. M. Madhura Senthil, District Secretary of DMK in Namakkal, the camp provided essential healthcare services to underserved communities, focusing on eye, dental, and general health screenings, alongside blood pressure and sugar tests. The event was facilitated by Dr. R. Vimal Nishant (Principal), Dr. T. Shankar (Chief IQAC), and Dr. K. Manjula (Programme Head), with organizational support from Mrs. K. P. Indumathi (HoD) and Mrs. P. Selvakumari (Programme Coordinator).A dedicated team of five doctors, three nurses, seven technicians, and 20 volunteers helped ensure smooth operations, with the public informed through local media and community leaders.In addition to health checkups, educational sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention were conducted, empowering participants to adopt healthier lifestyles. The camp successfully served 360 individuals, offering treatments and consultations, and significantly raised health awareness in the local community.
