On 27th August 2024, ECCS/ Dept of Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Technology inaugurated the Herbs Club, an initiative of Best Practice of the Department directed by Mrs.K.P.Indumathi, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and CLT. The event commenced at 03:15 PM in the in front of A9 and A10 blocks of the campus. Dr.R.VimalNishant, Principal, Excel College for Commerce and Science, felicitated the event. The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr.T.Shankar, Chief IQAC, Dr.K.Manjula, Programme Head, School of Arts and Science, and Dr.S.Subramaniam, Programme Head, School of Commerce. The guests set an inspiring tone for the club future activities by participating in the symbolic sapling of medicinal herbs. The ceremony was followed with the members of the club planted the herb saplings which was enthusiastically mirrored by the students of Biochemistry and CLT. This hands-on experience not only symbolized the clubs launch but also emphasized its mission to actively involve students in the study and application of herbal science.              Ms.R.Kiruthiga, AP/Biochemistry, and Mr.A.Hariprasath, AP of English/ BCH & CLT, have been appointed as the coordinators of the Herbs Club. Their efforts were instrumental in the successful execution of the inauguration.
