ELIGIBILITY for B.E. / B.Tech

  • The candidate should be a Foreign National.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to submit / produce Valid student Visa at the time of admission
  • Candidates shall submit Proof of Financial support either based on parent’s bank statement for the last six months or scholarship offer letter from the Government / other agencies.
  • Candidates must have passed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to 10+2 system of Indian Education or its equivalent).
  • The Candidate should have passed in all the subjects and scored a minimum average of 50 % in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • Candidates must have studied in English medium or have proficiency in English language.

IMPORTANT:

The Candidates are informed that the admission will only be Provisional. At any stage, if the candidate is found ineligible on verification of original certificates by the Competent Authority, the admission will be cancelled / he or she will be asked to discontinue from the program.

FOREIGN NATIONALS ADMISSION @ EXCEL GROUP INSTITUTIONS: A STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE:

The following documents scanned copies should be send to excelforeignadmission@gmail.com at the time of submission of Online Application. All the files should be in PDF format only.

  1. Passport of the candidate.
  2. School Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate. If these certificates are not issued in the respective country, an equivalent transfer certificate from the Principal has to be specially obtained.
  3. Mark sheets of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (X Standard) or equivalent.
  4. Higher Secondary Certificate (XII Standard) or equivalent.
  5. Proof of Financial support like parent’s bank statement for the last six months or scholarship offer letter from the Government/other agencies.

Note :

The all certificates must be in English. If the Grade certificates and other academic certificates are in other languages, it the responsibility of the candidate to carryout English translations of your academic certificates and grades through a notary / legal translator.

  • You will receive provisional admission letter if you’re found eligible. The Provisional Admission Letter can be used to obtain valid student visa issued by Indian Embassy / High Commission / Missions abroad.
  • On approval of Visa from the authorities, travel plan shall be confirmed and ticket booked to the nearest airport, viz., Coimbatore/ Bangalore / Chennai. Kindly intimate the date on which you will reach the college so that we can guide you to reach college without any hitch.
  • On your arrival at the college, you’re requested to report to the Foreign National Cell for the admission formalities with the submission of the following original certificates and payment of fees.
  1. School Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate.
  2. Mark sheets of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (X Standard) or equivalent.
  3. Higher Secondary Certificate (XII Standard) or equivalent.
  4. Passport and Visa Copy (
  5. Citizenship Card Copy – for Nepal & Bhutan students only.
  6. Passport size photo (6 numbers)
  • Equivalence Certificate from Association of Indian University (AIU), Delhi, India, is to be obtained after the verification of original certificates, for which the Foreign National Cell will offer you guidance.
  • Application for Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from Anna University, Chennai, India is to be obtained upon the payment of Indian Rupees (INR) 6300/-

Note:

Charges fee for Equivalence Certificate from AIU and PEC from Anna University should be paid once by the student at the time of admission.

  • The student has to get a Stay Visa/ Residential Permit from FRRO (Foreigner’s Regional Registration Office) within fourteen days of the arrival in India and the Residential Permit has to be renewed periodically with the help of our Foreign Admission Cell.
