Trends Technology Skill Development Programme On Jute Carpet Making
On March 6, 2023, Excel College for Commerce and Science, Department of Textile and Fashion Designing, along with Costume Design and Fashion, hosted a Trends Technology Skill Development Programme focusing on JUTE CARPET MAKING. The event took place at the Sewing Lab, where Mrs. S.N. Priyadharshini, A/P-Department of CDF & TFD warmly welcomed the attendees. Dr. K. Christe Jennifer, HoD& Academic coordinator introduced the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Murali Ellappan, Director of Cotton Comfort, Erode.Mr. Ellappan, as the Chief Guest, shared invaluable insights into jute fiber and the intricacies of jute product manufacturing. His expertise illuminated the audience on the eco-friendly aspects and versatility of jute in the textile industry. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the processes involved in jute carpet making, highlighting the significance of sustainable practices in fashion and textile design. The event not only fostered knowledge exchange but also served as a platform for networking and collaboration within the industry.
